Soccer
Proof? |
The SoCal email had terrible grammar. No way that email was sent out. |
Idk which one you looked at? But my club director said they did get an email and it was only sent out to Directors in SOCAL was not an official post somewhere. |
Was posted by Blake George on 9/26 I don’t believe there’s a US Soccer Board meeting until November so nothing will happen until at least then. Likely mid December. Hearing it’s done deal for next year. Look up the SOCAL soccer board he’s on there. Also says on his twitter profile. |

I haven't looked to closely into who sanctions all the NPL regional leagues. I'd assume US Club Soccer (who also sanctions ECNL).
If some of the NPL regional leagues don't want to change from BY to SY. They might leave NPL and US Club Soccer and go to USSSA (with DPL and GA). Now magically we have 2 completely separate youth soccer groups separated by BY vs SY and now the ECNL vs GA wars extend all the way down to the youngest of youngers. |
I can tell you now, the only people that will want to switch to SY are those that have had kids go through recruitment once, and those that want their trapped kids to dominate on younger teams |
| What if ECNL simply offers a cross playing platform where GA and ECNL can compete in showcases |
And those with kids who want to play club soccer with more friends. |
That would be a great way for ECNL to get GA to agree on changing to SY. Since showcase results don't matter playing clubs that you don't play very often would be nice. Doubt it would happen though. The crown jewels of both ECNL and GA are the number of recruiters they're able to get to attend showcase events. |
If this is what you want play town/rec soccer. |
And we’re supposed to believe you in a DC forum? |
How do these parents get the coaches to accept all their kids playmates on the team? |
Many NPL leagues are tied to ECNL RL leagues so they will go with the SY change. |
Yeah, who gives a crap about all those kids who want to be competitive and have fun at the same time. Pick a lane. Club soccer isn't supposed to be fun. It's about getting verbally abused by coaches, fighting for more playing time against "teammates" from other towns and grades, and ultimately getting recruited to a college program or become a pro. |
And those that want more kids paying and playing soccer. |
