This post did not age well. I think the inane comments were pretty correct. |
Wow. After that first night and the proposal, he did not seem into her. And I bet she quickly figured out that the affable affect was just for show. Hope this doesn't sink the Golden Bachelorette! |
I knew when he didn't bother denying his ex GF's account that he was no good. The producers really screwed up with the casting here. |
Um. |

3 months?? Something happened.
He’s crying he’s still in love with her, he’s FOS. “We don’t have to give up the memories.” Lol |
I don’t think he’s nice. I think he’s a phony baloney in every way, and she quickly figured that out. |
Bet Leslie is breathing a huge sigh of relief this isn’t her right now. |

They both got caught up in the fantasy, had a brief infatuation but there was no there there in the cold hard light of day.
Btw he’s a more convincing actor than she is. BS that they love each other and are best friends. She does not like him as a person. |
Their body language has been off almost since the beginning, and their holding hands during this interview was SO awkward. My guess: it quickly became clear neither was willing to compromise in the end. And that they had both not been truthful with each other, some bait and switch on both sides. Pretty clear he is a my way of the highway kind of person and a narcissist who love bombs but with no real substance behind his feelings. It must have been pretty bad if they wouldn't hang in there a while longer, at least for the free Italy trip. She must have realized, so glad she didn't quit her job and move for him!! |

They are both old and somewhat inflexible and why not be? He probably wanted her to fit around his life and family but she has her own.
Totally unrealistic, slightly narcissistic and well, ultimately not very interesting. |
If they had in fact been in love, they would have figured out a way to compromise. They weren't in love, period. And he never was, not even for a second. That's what I think she realized, poor thing. |
I think she got caught up in wanting to win because it meant winning. She wasn't really thinking about what that truly meant long-term. Odd for someone who does financial planning, but maybe it was all so exciting she couldn't help it. |

They need to cast from the same city / area. Most middle aged and ok older adults have deep roots and ties and responsibilities where they live. Moving away from family and friends and your home and community later in life just doesn’t make sense.
They should do regional Golden Bachelors/Ettes. |
Hope she enjoys an ice cold margarita tonight! |
