Really? Former Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick (married) was busted for a similar affair (married staffer), tried to use the public's $6.5M to try and cover it up in a whistleblower trial settlement, and his and mistress's phone records were later revealed and used by the county prosecutor to nail him for their perjury during that whistleblower trial. He resigned and spent 99 days in jail just for the perjury -- this was years before the FBI and US Attorneys sent him to federal prison for all the public corruption. DP...yes, really. This is a case about election fraud and the attempt to steal the 2020 election. There is no proof of anything other than a little affair among two consenting adults.

It's time to move on from this side show and back to the main case.

This.

So tired of the endless distractions and delays.

Meanwhile up in New York, Trump will be bumping up against a cool half billion in fines, damages, and interest in a few days. Karma.

Then don’t worry about the GA case. I’m sure all the NYS cases will hold up to appeal . . .

New york case is a setup and makes all real estate developers should be under the same prosecution crazy, hopefully the supreme court will chime in on it .

No, it's not a setup. It *IS* however a warning to those people who use different valuations of property for loan requests and taxes that they are doing so fraudulently. There needs to be one valuation for both. Either the property is valued higher, in which case you get a lower interest rate on loans and can borrow more, but you pay more in taxes. Or the property is valued lower in which means you pay a higher interest rate and can borrow less, but you also pay less in taxes.

You don't get to value the property high for loans and low for taxes. That's the fraud. And that is what DJT, DJTJ and ET all admitted in court. They said that they left this up to the accountants, but the accountants testified that they were told to do this by the Trumps. Then the Trumps signed off on all the documents saying that they agreed and were legally responsible. So they are being held legally responsible.

So interesting to see the liberal mind at work. GA team is looking to prosecute individuals for making false statements while having difficulty making truthful statements on the stand themselves. So much for officers of the court meeting minimal ethical standards.

On the NY case, what a wonderful waste of NY taxpayer money. Clearly the decision will be overturned on appeal but the damage has already been done. Businesses are leaving NY and more will do so rather than deal the possibility of selective prosecution.

DP. As a conservative former-Republican, I would put it the other way around. So interesting to see the "modern conservative" mind at work. The mental gymnastics on this thread, accusing Willis of all sorts of wild crimes, is a sight to behold.

When we have a truly interesting crime, a real insurrection, to behold.

Glad to see someone else make the distinction between conservative and Republican. Our GOP is lost in the sauce

He tried to make the claim that pretty much anything he said fell under attorney-client privilege.
Glad the judge took the time to investigate his claim.

Yes, that's called lawyering. Of course he claimed that. Not sure why communications between him and his client wouldn't be covered, TBH.

There are many exceptions but "fraud/Crime exception' would be one of several.

Having an affair is not a crime. Or rather, the crime fraud exception is for crimes involving the lawyer and client - are you saying now that Wade was having an affair with his lawyer?

"Fraud on the Court" is an extreme form of "fraud" which is part of the fraud or crime exception.

The crime/fraud exception applies to getting advice on committing a crime. Did Bradley advise Wade on his testimony in this court? No.

Can we move on to the actual Trump/Georgia case now?

GA team is looking to prosecute for a conspiracy to steal an election.

Period.

So interesting to see the conservative mind (so much for law and order) dismiss the "let's steal an election" conspiracy. I guess SOME crimes are acceptable, right?

It will be appealed and also larger businesses are leaving NYC. They don't need the hassle.

63(12) has been on the books and enforced for decades. I’m not seeing much evidence of businesses leaving the state. Except perhaps in your fever dreams.

Trump is a loser. He never made it in New York and now the whole world knows.

He didn't say what you wanted him to say on the stand so he must be lying?

Honor and integrity must be baffling concepts for you.

Crooked businesses are leaving NYC? I'll believe that when I see it.
