No, women are really mad. If he is confirmed, women are going to protest at the Supreme Court every day . Every guy who can be brought down will be, because they will all be viewed a Kavanaugh lite..

Beyond that, the polls are also clear that more people believe Ford than believe Kavanaugh, more people believe Kavanaugh lies than believe Ford lied, and more people oppose his nomination than support it. How many people paid have paid attention to the Supreme Court in the past? Gorsuch is a nerd. They should have found another one.

If his name is withdrawn or voted down, I hope the most conservative leaning female that can be found with a spotless past is the next nominee.

Amy Coney Barrett. Abortions end and we have huge social welfare costs.

No, hon, this is the straw that broke the camel's back in terms of men getting away with sh!t. Women are furious. Raging. Fuming. I've never seen so many friends and relatives so apoplectic. Not even after Trump won.

Too many women who have experienced trauma and the men who caused it got away with it and women are not taking it anymore.

Only someone blind cannot see it.

If BK is seated on the SCOTUS Republicans can kiss the women's vote goodbye forever. And sadly for you, women vote at a higher rate than men.

Dream on, sweetie. I am a woman. I would NEVER vote for a Democrat today. My female friends have the same opinion.

Why are you holding Kavanaugh responsible for your MeToo experiences? Why blame him for things that OTHER men have done to you?

Yup. I guess I should have sued the 80 year old man who told me I was very pretty today. Should have screamed at him that he was sexually harassing me and called the police. Instead, I just smiled and said thank you. I guess I'm weak

I can’t believe you actually just wrote that.

Did the Clintons boof the booze up his ass? Is that why he was crying? Yeah he's a serial rapist.

Dude should have rolled into the hearing room with “Panama” blaring in the background and wearing a pair of 80s shades.

If he truly could have been exonerated then it will be shame, because the presumption will always be that he was guilty of this stuff and more.

This has been the biggest sham of all time. I have faith that if he is not exonerated in the coming week, he will be exonerated in the future.
He will be a great Justice.

If that performance of his suggested fitness for the bench to you, I don’t think you understand what a justice is supposed to be.

I thought he was defending his name and his reputation. And, yes, he was angry. He had a damn right to be angry.
The games the Dems have played have been destructive. Absolutely disgusting.
He said what had to be said. The way it had to be said.

Yeah, he had every right to be angry. This SCOTUS seat was HIS. It was MEANT for him. This is where his entire path in life was leading. Why should he have to undergo any type of trial? Why should he have to answer for his misbehavior when he was just a child? I mean, a teenager and young man in his 20s, an age when black boys are already adults eligible for the death penalty, but when you're a privileged white boy mistakes are made and they're not indicative of one's future potential and who cares if he told little white lies under oath. That's why he's mad because it's HIS fate to be SCOTUS. Doesn't matter what he did at age 18 or 19 or 20 or 21 or 22. He went to YALE dammit. YALE. Do you know how prestigious that is? Do you know which country clubs he's belonged to in his life? Do you know how much suffering he's felt these past few weeks as people have actually tried to put barriers in his path toward his SCOTUS seat? Of course he's angry. His life HAS BEEN RUINED, RUINED I say. Why should he have to answer about his Frat Boy Persona? Who cares if he drank to excess and then lied about it? Who cares what he did when he was drunk? He was ONLY a boy, for god's sake. Unlike those animals and criminals who are sneaking over the border with their mothers. They need to be torn away from them and held in detention. I don't care if they're only 10. They're adults coming here to rape us, I tell you.

We've read your posts before, and you truly seem to have an axe to grind that has very little to do with anything other than race and perceived social privilege.

Oh dearie, if you don't believe social privelege doesn't exist, I have a country club membership to sell you.

^^don't believe social privilege exists

It's not that I think it doesn't exist. It's your posts...

Glad you like them! But I can't claim credit for them all. There are many of us out there who are well aware of the social privilege that BK is under the influence of.

Anonymous wrote:So, I have read random posts on this thread. So, far, according to DCUM, Judge Kavanaugh is:
a sexual predator
a rapist
a liar
a cocaine user
unfit because he defended himself
an alcoholic
a wife beater
a terrible father for not dropping out of the nomination process

Did I miss something? Do we have them all covered here? Anyone have something to add?

And, then we have posters saying that his reputation has not been destroyed and he can go back to doing what he did before if he just drops out. Sure. Yet, we have opinion pieces being published for him to stay away from children. Sure. He can just drop out and go back and things will be just the same as they were before. Sure. Read the list above, folks.

Seems as if we are allowed to throw ANY accusation at Judge Kavanaugh. He is fair game. He is open to public scrutiny. He is allowed no privacy at all. But, God forbid you say ANYTHING about the accuser. Because, she is the “victim.” Nobody is allowed to look into her background because that would be victim shaming. No ma’am, we can’t go there.

I am so sick of the liberals here. I am so sick of gossip and the allegations and the accusations based on no evidence. I am sick of the Democrats on this committee, and the ones in Congress who “believe her” because THAT is what is politically correct to do. Forget there is no corroborating evidence. Forget that this man has had 6 background checks and has served 12 years on the 2nd highest court in the land and has been accused of NOTHING.

I don’t know Judge Kavanaugh. But, I know he is innocent of all of the allegations thrown at him. And, I feel deeply for his family and him because this hell he is in has been extended another couple weeks. I also know NOTHING will ever be the same for him. And, that saddens me deeply. And, contrary to what some of you keep repeating - HE did not ask for this. He was nominated. He accepted the nomination. I am sure, in retrospect if he knew and truly understood the tactics the liberals would take, he may not have accepted. But, here were are. And, there is no way in hell he will withdraw now because that would be surrendering and all of you accusations-pushers would dub him as guilty.

People keep saying things like... when the FBI proves (fill in the blank). It doesn’t work that way. You think the investigation is going to turn up “guilt” or “innocence.” It won’t. And, Kavanaugh knows that. He knows it is another week of hell for him because of sites like this and the media that will continue to slander him and print op-eds saying he shouldn’t be around children the longer this goes on. Those of you who think the FBI investigation is going to prove anything are ignorant and/or naive.

I have had one thing reinforced from this whole horrible ordeal. There are no depths to which the liberals won’t go. They do not care about the lives they destroy, because the ends justify the means. I am so glad that I am not one of you.

Well said. And brave of you, because obviously here on DCUM, this is not the popular opinion. I agree that this man's life is completely ruined, regardless of what the FBI finds - or even *doesn't* find. Too many people have made up their minds that he is guilty, with no evidence, only that he drank a lot in high school and college. That doesn't make him any of the above.

Just as we're not supposed to dig into an accuser's background and say things like, "Well, she was drunk/dressed a certain way/acted a certain way, so she must have asked for it" - why is it acceptable to look at the accused's background and extrapolate that because he drank a lot, he must have also attempted rape? It's an incredible double standard. I read these threads and find myself more and more incredulous that there are actually people who are gleeful about this man's demise. Forget about innocent until proven guilty.

These three loooooong Brett Kavanaugh threads are all about male privilege and men wanting to hang onto their power. Sure touched a pent up well of anger in women and a backlash from men who want to maintain the status quo. Brave brave Christine Ford for bringing it all to the surface.

Neither of you are paying attention. Ford is credible. Kavanaugh lied repeatedly. You’re just projecting your political biases into this whole mess. If you have a crap about what’s actually true, you’d change your minds.
