No, women are really mad. If he is confirmed, women are going to protest at the Supreme Court every day . Every guy who can be brought down will be, because they will all be viewed a Kavanaugh lite..

Beyond that, the polls are also clear that more people believe Ford than believe Kavanaugh, more people believe Kavanaugh lies than believe Ford lied, and more people oppose his nomination than support it. How many people paid have paid attention to the Supreme Court in the past? Gorsuch is a nerd. They should have found another one.

If his name is withdrawn or voted down, I hope the most conservative leaning female that can be found with a spotless past is the next nominee.

We all hope he is withdrawn or voted down.

Moving on, I'll repeat what I said. Hope it's an even more conservative leaning jurist, religious, hopefully non-drinking with as spotless past as possible. Female and Hispanic or AA.

Wouldn't that be nice? Too bad there is no one like that.

Not sure what you mea about being fine. If Ford’s version is confirmed, he’ll have much bigger legal problems.

Thought it was established a number of pages back that Maryland had a statute of limitations on felony sexual assault in 1982 so he wouldn't face criminal charges.

yes, that was posted many pages back.

He could be impeached.

For lying. Under oath. In a confirmation hearing.

Then check out her timeline about talking to lawyers and saying she spoke to no one but umm a bit later we learn she talked to some beach people.

If you have lived on the California coast you know who beach people are. Surfers. No one would seriously go to them about advice about anything except about wave conditions. Unless you happened to have a professional friend who happened to surf. Not a beach person. She clearly was talking to people about this to advise on her next step. That's when she wrote the letter to Ichoo.

Then she asked people in the DC area about lawyers when she wasn't thinking of lawyers. She talked to a lot of them. Feinstein's office didn't tell her what lawyer to take on but then Ford says her office recommended Katz.

And we have the house remodel problem. Permit in 2008 but dissent between her and her husband over the second door take them to couples therapy four years later. Second front door appears to be entrance to a garage turned into rental apartment for Goggle interns. Not for her to have another means of egress. Garages converted into rental units are all over Palo Alto.

I found the whole "beach friends" phrase to be really strange too. She said this several times during her hearing. "Did you talk to anyone about this?" "Yes, I spoke to my beach friends." WTH? Why aren't these people named?

Earlier in her testimony she said that she went on a trip to the beach and spoke about it to friends there at that time. She later referred to them in shorthand as her beach friends, so that people would know that she was speaking about the same group of people.

She specifieda couple of close friends on the beach in Aptos, California. Thereafter, beach friends.

If he truly could have been exonerated then it will be shame, because the presumption will always be that he was guilty of this stuff and more.

This has been the biggest sham of all time. I have faith that if he is not exonerated in the coming week, he will be exonerated in the future.
He will be a great Justice.

If that performance of his suggested fitness for the bench to you, I don’t think you understand what a justice is supposed to be.

I thought he was defending his name and his reputation. And, yes, he was angry. He had a damn right to be angry.
The games the Dems have played have been destructive. Absolutely disgusting.
He said what had to be said. The way it had to be said.

Yeah, he had every right to be angry. This SCOTUS seat was HIS. It was MEANT for him. This is where his entire path in life was leading. Why should he have to undergo any type of trial? Why should he have to answer for his misbehavior when he was just a child? I mean, a teenager and young man in his 20s, an age when black boys are already adults eligible for the death penalty, but when you're a privileged white boy mistakes are made and they're not indicative of one's future potential and who cares if he told little white lies under oath. That's why he's mad because it's HIS fate to be SCOTUS. Doesn't matter what he did at age 18 or 19 or 20 or 21 or 22. He went to YALE dammit. YALE. Do you know how prestigious that is? Do you know which country clubs he's belonged to in his life? Do you know how much suffering he's felt these past few weeks as people have actually tried to put barriers in his path toward his SCOTUS seat? Of course he's angry. His life HAS BEEN RUINED, RUINED I say. Why should he have to answer about his Frat Boy Persona? Who cares if he drank to excess and then lied about it? Who cares what he did when he was drunk? He was ONLY a boy, for god's sake. Unlike those animals and criminals who are sneaking over the border with their mothers. They need to be torn away from them and held in detention. I don't care if they're only 10. They're adults coming here to rape us, I tell you.

We've read your posts before, and you truly seem to have an axe to grind that has very little to do with anything other than race and perceived social privilege.

Oh dearie, if you don't believe social privelege doesn't exist, I have a country club membership to sell you.

I disagree. I'd love to see someone like Condoleezza Rice with a law degree. They're out there but haven't typically been approached before.

NBC News incorrectly reported (as usual) that I was limiting the FBI investigation of Judge Kavanaugh, and witnesses, only to certain people. Actually, I want them to interview whoever they deem appropriate, at their discretion. Please correct your reporting!

7:49 PM - 29 Sep 2018

The Liar in Chief has spoken.

He’s probably restricted the “investigation” to Brettie’s Boy Scout leader, his Sunday School teacher and his priest.

Everything Trump says is a lie. I do not believe a word of it.

People are saying Kavanaugh used the playbook of Clarence Thomas, who also followed a very believable accuser's testimony with a same-day forceful comeback.

But go take another look on Youtube at Thomas' testimony:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZURHD5BU1o8

Yes, Kavanaugh used a similar approach and even terminology eg "national disgrace."
But Thomas, unlike Kavanaugh, was composed, polite even, and non-partisan, even when he pulled the race card.

It is Kavanaugh's run-on emotional outbursts, elitist braggadocio, and clear political bent that sets him apart. No doubt egged on directly or indirectly by his benefactor Trump, he went there -- and then couldn't keep it under control.

It's interesting to look at social media the past 48 hours: There are far more replays of Kavanaugh clips than Ford. Watching Ford is tough. She's so true and so sad. Kavanaugh on the other hand is wild, allowing for mashups like this instant classic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5X7gahWr1g

When I first watched Kavanaugh's testimony live, I thought he had evened the score. Watching again, I don't think he can live down the eccentricities of his performance.

Thomas wasn't accused of rapes, so maybe he wasn't under quite as much pressure, but he was a good 10x more composed. I'm by no means a Thomas fan, in fact the opposite. I am quite sure, however, that he would not have made the bench had he acted like Kavanaugh, especially because he's not a white male.

This is ALSO fake news. Trump himself corrected the record tonight and told NBC they need to as well. He has not limited the scope of the investigation.

2 minutes after that, after he lied about “Squi” and FFFFF: “Senator do you want more about the Fs?”

No one has ever been such a shitheel during a hearing, including Clarence Thomas. Shame on raging, entitled Brett.
