all they have to do is win. If you don’t win the title, who really cares when you get booted? First loser is the same as any other loser.

An unfortunate injury last night will make that a lot more difficult as well.

No one was cheering louder than Yorktown with Madison’s win. They did not want to have to face Madison before the state finals. Oakton winning would have made things a lot more challenging for YT

Looks like quite a few of the magnificent 7 got first team.

You’re talking about a district that barely has a lacrosse pulse.

Isn’t your DD late for their VA one practice? Some real stellar lax going on in region C this year.

YT beat Oakton by 3 while Madison by 5. YT probably does not care.

Anonymous wrote:Region D first round game: SL v. Langley (#4 vs. #6 in 6A state LN rankings) One these two teams will get knocked in the first round of regionals. The lucky winner will likely get the honor of facing Madison in the Semis for a chance at states.

Meanwhile in Region C, we are discussing Woodson's and Justice's chances of making states.

I would put current making states odds in Region C as:

Robo - 95%
West Po - 65%
Justice - 25%
West Spring - 10%
Woodson - 5%

Any Region D insiders able to make a similar list?

Who would take the 6A field vs Yorktown for the state title. Looks like YT would need to beat Tilly, Oakton, Madison, West Po, Cosby/DR, Mad/BF...

This assumes Langley can't take care of SL and Madison... in seeing them play multiple times this season feels like they have some players that will be a handful for most teams. Big, strong, fast... just ask BF... #4 can take over the circle.

Only 1 of these 3 making states.

Langley projected 14-10 over SL and will dominate possessions/draws.

SL losing to Oakton may help them get to states

Robo and West Po

No. Woodson & Robo

With the seeding of the regional tournament…I believe they will both be on the same side of the bracket. So I don’t think that’s possible.

Yes the regional tournament is different than the district tournament. The district tournament the 1v4 go against each other and the 2v3. In regionals it’s # 1 seed (robo) and #3 seed (woodson) on the same end. Then #2 (west po) on the same side as #4 (west springfield).

Its weird when you first see it but its because the national district 1 seed (justice) is on the west po side and the 2 seed from the national (TJ) is on the robo side.

Think Justice can beat West Po in Regional Semis - assuming they both get there?

Langley can definitely beat SL and Madison. I predict they best SL but loose to Madison.
