Last year at least at girls literally no one watched for our 3 age groupings.
No joke. No one was watching.

And to add, this was very different from other clubs where coaches had numbers and clipboards and ran up and down in the scrimmages to take notes!

Unfortunately, I am not surprised to hear this. My experience has been similar, long stretches of play on fields where no coach is watching during tryouts. My kid's team added more than five new players last season and I don't think any were at the "try-out" that I attended.

Yes. That is how tryouts work nowadays. It is online vs brick and mortar stores. Soon there will be online tryouts if they are not already happening.

I will say that the Ekkono method has been pretty successful at BSC. It is still growing and becoming the staple philosophy through out the club. The club has completely embraced it now and required at training including the younger girls.
