| So, I just had the startling experience in seeing pictures of myself in my "cute" jeans from behind. HOLY SHIT. I carry all my weight in my ass and hips. I'm 5'5", 135 lbs so I'm not overweight - technically . I wear a size 8 jean and try to eat pretty healthy. I run and walk for workouts. However, I literally looked like a fat ass in those photos. What exercises / diet techniques can I use to hone in on that part of my body. My upper body is pretty slim, so I guess I've done a good job concealing my ass issues but too many pictures from different angles and different cameras have me feeling like I want to vomit right now. |
| Ok, so maybe you could lose a couple of pounds. Don't beat yourself up, though, because more likely, you just need a better pair of jeans! Go look for a better fit. |
| Aww...thanks for making me feel a bit better. Sad thing is that I specifically wore those jeans because I thought they looked good! Oh well, back to the drawing board. |
| Finding good jeans is next to impossible. I will also add that as you age, those "saddlebags" become a reality. I have no room to talk because mine are record size these days but I would do some butt/thigh exercises to work on that. I'm thinking squats. |
| I love a phat ass. Just saying. |
|
Squats and lunges will tighten your muscles and make sure your shape is good. A very shapely ass with some fat on it is indeed a phat ass.
That said, 135 at your height is a little heavy. Even just a five pound change would make a big difference because it would mostly come from your ass/hips/thighs. Five pounds of fat is a lot. |
+1 |
| Tighten up the muscles to get a nice toned round look. Also, please post the pic. |
| 5'5" 135 lbs is heavy?!? Seriously??? |
+a million. |
This, especially if your weight sits in your butt. You need to lose ten pounds and you'll look great. Even five pounds will help, but I don't think it will do the entire job. |
Seriously people? 5-10 lbs on a frame that size will be near impossible. OP, I am the same size as you and I am a true pear. However, I am (usually) happy with my size/weight...and know that from experience, there is NO way I'd ever get back to the 120's (haven't been there since high school, before I got the hips I have now). I am also pretty fit and have a good amount of muscle. I also look at pictures of myself in bathing suits, jeans, etc. and think 'what a fat ass!'. But then I check myself and realize that NEVER in my life have I EVER looked at myself and thought anything differently (even at 125 when in high school). Could it be more of a self-image issue than a true concern? I know that even if I did lose those 5-10 lbs, then I'd still look and find flaws. It's a downward spiral, for sure! |
I'm 5'8 and 135 is my right weight. It's not what I weigh now, that's for sure. But come on, plenty of women who are 5'5 weigh less than 135. That's not unusual. |
|
You sound like my type...
Got pics? |
| 5'5" and 130. Depends on how much muscle you have what you need to weigh. I'm either a 2 or a 4, so definitely NOT fat....5'*' and 135 is a bit scrawny. |
