Not hard to do.
Go see Pete at Quest. |
I think most do. I look much better in white metal. Wish I didn't -- I keep wanting to wear yellow gold and then I buy something, and it's a nope -- doesn't look good. |
DP. I look horribly washed out and sallow in yellow gold. I always wear platinum or silver. I have a very cool complexion/dark brunette. Winter. |
+1 My daughter looks great in yellow gold but we have very different coloring. I stick to the cool colors. |
| Yeah I wonder if it has to do with what color clothes you look best in. I wear black and blues and greens and pinks, never browns or orange or yellow. So I guess that says I should stick to white jewelry. |
+1 I steer clear of anything with a yellow tone - yellow, orange, tomato red, beige. A deep blue/red is good though. Hard to find that shade. And definitely no gold jewelry. |
Well it's about your undertone, so clothing color and jewelry color are a part of that. Cool tones look better in silver, warm tones look better in gold. Neutral can do either. I changed from platinum to gold last year too, and it was more about the Halo that I wanted to get rid of, it made the engagement ring feel gaudy and very heavy. I wanted something simpler in style, kept the main diamond only. |
Pete retired at least a year ago or more! But Huan is still there... |
| How much metal are you people draping yourself in that it makes you look "sallow"? |
|
Maybe just buy a new set?

| I would simply reset the diamond, sell the setting. Trust me, your kids are not really going to want your ring. Tastes change (as you are experiencing). |
Ha, tell my DD that! She's been drooling over my rings for years and asked if she could have them when she gets married. |
