Ignore the haters. There are and have been lots of successful large families.

The unsuccessful ones have some combo of low IQ, poverty, mental health issues.

But if you're smart, rich, and not crazy, you guys are gonna have a great time.

I am. I have 5 kids, ages baby through 17. Oldest at boarding school and loves it. Things are good.

Do you have any help at home?

My wife works 3 10 hour days a week in her office. Two days a week at home.

I work 1-2 nights a week (I am a nurse).

We have a full time nanny and my MIL helps a lot too.

No. 38. This is our last one. Also I’ve only given birth to one this is my second pregnancy.

You hired surrogates? BS troll.

Yes, there are zero other ways a woman could have a child without birthing it!

Why didn't you explain that you were two women each birthing two children in your original post?

That’s a big assumption on many parts

Are you both women? I knew a couple who did this - they'd get pregnant around the same time and had a bunch of kids really fast. They seemed really happy.

Congrats! I always wanted 4 kids but had to stop at 2.

Yes. We had our egg retrievals at 35 & 37 years old. Between 3 retrievals we had 6 normal embryos.

By the grace of G-d or pure luck or whatever you believe in our first 4 embryos took and we had our kids 9-10 months apart.

We are 38 & 40 right now.

C'mon now. Lesbians like a little pot stirring! Not as much as the gays, but still.

Why would I need to? I said AMA and people made assumptions right off the back.

Nope.

I’ll bite.

Why do you call the 3 year old a 36-month old.

DP, but this is a dumb question. It's to show that the 18-month-old and the 36-month-old are 18 months apart.

Otherwise a 3-year-old could range from 18 to 29 months older.

That's not an AMA. It's a teaser.

This feels like you are trying to start something- not in a good way. Consider yourself lucky and focus on your kids and your spouse.

Yes we have a full time nanny. I have a wife who carried our oldest and third child. All incredibly planned 9 months apart via RIVF.

Mom of one here (by choice).

Two moms (and help) is the only way I would even consider it!

Sounds insane - but also potentially a lot of fun with the right personalities (not mine!)

Because for this AMA it shows how close in age they are. Usually I say she just turned 3.
