I don’t get how the family was shocked when the siblings suspected him that Christmas and secretly searched his car after noticing he was wearing latex gloves around the house. I don’t read the article but that clearly tells us they were suspicious. I think they even brought it up with the parents. |
Alibi since the timeline on the crime wouldn't be 100% precise. |
I think either he confessed to them and they spent the calls coming up with a plan to help him get away with it, or he was just acting weird and needy and they didn’t know why until hours / days later when the news emerged, at which point they basically knew he did it but decided to keep their mouths shut. |
Testimony from a digital forensics expert, Heather Barnhart. I can’t find an official source though with her actual testimony. I thought it was widely assumed the reason he took the guilty plea instead of going through trial is so that his mother wouldn’t have to take the stand and reveal what was said on the calls. |
| She didn’t say anything we didn’t already know. They support him fully. 🤮 |
100%, yes. I'm sure they threatened to go after the mother for aiding and abetting. If/when that comes out, the sister is going to look even worse because of this interview. |
No one knows exactly why he pled guilty. Just speculation. He’ll take his secrets to his grave. |

As someone married into a family with hidden mental illness and subsequent violence that they still deny, this story is crazy and also so familiar. It is astonishing to see how people can both be aware of a truth about a member of their nuclear family and also in total denial.
I assume that people like this never have to develop cognitive dissonance but instead it’s just a standard state of living that they’re raised in from infancy/toddlerhood so their brains become wired to assume it as normal. |
She is another blue-haired psycho. Not even close to anything resembling normal. |
The mother probably knows. There's a decent chance Kohlberger will be killed in prison at some point. Maybe after that she'll speak up. |
| He took a plea deal that took the death penalty off the table. |
Is that desirable from the defendant's point of view? I would think most people would prefer a needle to life in prison, no? |
Ok, we’ve heard from you twice now. It’s clear you disapprove of blue hair. It’s not relevant to this case or this family at all. |
She said in the NYT that she was afraid for his safety after the murders (killer on the loose) So she must not have been suspicious until later. |
Well then why did she tell him—privately—to be careful about jogging alone because this killer was on the loose. I think she sounded credible. Poor family. |
