Feasibility of gathering signatures to put HS soccer in the Fall

Anonymous
No one cares what would be more convenient for a few club soccer weirdoes. If you don't like the season for HS soccer, don't have your kid participate. Easy.

Ew.

What a dumb response - there are far better teams less than an hour away vs a 4-6 hour + drive.

You're dumb. If you are talking about Baltimore Armor and Celtic they are pretty awful. Maybe you mean better than a senior citizen walking football team?

And, most (not all) of the NC parents don't smell like cigarettes, aren't half drunk for an 11 a.m. game and f-bombing in every sentence as part of their daily use of the England language.

Also NC not smelling like cigarettes? LOL NC and VA the last remaining bastions of tobacco

Ever heard of SJEB/Real? - Even stronger on the ECNL side with the North Atlantic being one of the best in the country.

Yes. Please see my comments regarding half drunk parents who incorporate curse words into every sentence.

This.

It has to do with field space- football and field hockey in the fall, soccer and lacrosse in the spring

Keep enjoying your trips to Wilmington/Charlotte NC I guess. A shame when you could just play Bethesda in your back yard.

Nobody cares about your preferences. Pay for private school if you want fall soccer.

Please explain a game and practice schedule for 3 football teams, 4 soccer teams and 2 field hockey teams on one football field. Heck, I will even give you two fields to work with (though many schools only have one turf field).

JV/Freshman football games on Mondays. Varsity on Friday/Saturday.

Boys/girls soccer and field hockey rotate practice times on the 2nd field and grass.

Soccer and football share main stadium for games. Field Hockey get priority on the 2nd field for games.

Football practices on grass when main stadium is in use. Soccer uses grass fields for practice when there is a conflict with field hockey.

It's not as hard as you make it out to be.

There are no grass fields at our high school.

Yep. Pay up or shut up.

+1. We have two fields total.
Your plan is absurd. For field usage, soccer in spring makes much more sense.

We have two turf fields. No grass fields. Your plan is nonsense. What teams would play in the spring besides lacrosse?

We have girls flag football practices and games in fall as well.

In FCPS- Field Hockey and Football have freshmen, JV and Varsity teams. Soccer and lacrosse only have JV and Varsity.

That plan is quite literally what virtually every school in Pennsylvania and Maryland does without any issue whatsoever. Many have just two game fields as well and make it work. I don't see what is so special about Virginia that means they couldn't do it either if they wanted to.
