This.

Keep enjoying your trips to Wilmington/Charlotte NC I guess. A shame when you could just play Bethesda in your back yard.

Nobody cares about your preferences. Pay for private school if you want fall soccer.

Please explain a game and practice schedule for 3 football teams, 4 soccer teams and 2 field hockey teams on one football field. Heck, I will even give you two fields to work with (though many schools only have one turf field).

JV/Freshman football games on Mondays. Varsity on Friday/Saturday.

Boys/girls soccer and field hockey rotate practice times on the 2nd field and grass.

Soccer and football share main stadium for games. Field Hockey get priority on the 2nd field for games.

Football practices on grass when main stadium is in use. Soccer uses grass fields for practice when there is a conflict with field hockey.

It's not as hard as you make it out to be.

There are no grass fields at our high school.

Yep. Pay up or shut up.

+1. We have two fields total.
Your plan is absurd. For field usage, soccer in spring makes much more sense.

We have two turf fields. No grass fields. Your plan is nonsense. What teams would play in the spring besides lacrosse?

We have girls flag football practices and games in fall as well.

In FCPS- Field Hockey and Football have freshmen, JV and Varsity teams. Soccer and lacrosse only have JV and Varsity.

That plan is quite literally what virtually every school in Pennsylvania and Maryland does without any issue whatsoever. Many have just two game fields as well and make it work. I don't see what is so special about Virginia that means they couldn't do it either if they wanted to.

Why make such overcrowded field schedules "work" and then only have one sport-lacrosse-in the spring? That's just stupid.

Of all the dumb ideas I have read about today, this is the dumbest. Congrats!

reading this makes me think how moronic all these other states are, when they could just move soccer to the spring and balance out the field usage.

Move there then and you can quit moaning. Too many people in this area have to have it their way alll the time or they're not happy.

You are the strange outlier here, so I'm not sure why you are on such a high horse. The rest of the NE can figure out how to play football and soccer at the same time, but this is apparently too hard for VA.

Enjoy all those trips to NC!
