| The bus comes at 7:15 and you are in the bus lane and you don't see the problem? |
| Oh wait, are you one of those moms whose kid sits in the bus up until the minute the bus comes? Your precious snowflake can't wait on the curb? Do the right thing, stop being lazy. |
Yeah I don’t get it either. Why are you idling in the bus lane? Go idle in the parking lot. Your kid can walk a few more steps. |
This, don’t be lazy OP. Don’t make your kid lazy either. Use your brain. |
|
OP here. Since the unanimous vote was for me being an a***, I actually went to the parking lot today and idled there while the other parents were in the bus lane, and my snowflake did walk in the rain.
You all changed one person's attitude towards this for the better. |
| Why idle at all everyday? Turn off the car and stop polluting. |
| I don’t understand why all the other parents are also in the bus lane? Is it just pure laziness? They want their kid to be the first on the bus to TJ?! |
| Next step is the bus hits your car and you are found at fault. That's what Seattle city busses do. Is that what you want? |
| unless you have a magnet kid who rides the bus, this is hard to understand. early in the morning, all parents dropping off kids wait in the bus lane. |
Cheers to you, OP, for reporting back. A rare instance of openness on DCUM. |
I’m not understanding. Why are parents in the bus lane? Don’t you just drop your kid and go? |
Then take it to the AAP board since us plebeians don’t understand. We do understand - you guys are just being ridiculous. |
|
OP, good for you for finding the parking lot.
If it’s freezing out I’ll turn the car on for the heat and shut it off after a minute. I feel guilty idling. |
| I honestly can't stand people like you OP. There are so many entitled magnet parents at these bus stops acting like jerks. Do not block the bus lane ever. You can idle off to the side or park in the parking lot. Why is there an issue parking if you're coming before or after elementary school hours? |
Early in the morning the school lot is empty so people just pull into the bus lane. No, most parents wait until bus shows and it gets cold in the morning |
