They come out on Saturday |
| Where will Rockshire end up after going 5-0 in Division L? |
| Or Palisades after going 5-0 in Division G? |
Some parents are just obsessed and monitor all the kids, which is creepy and take the fun out of swimming. |
I think a lot of parents actually want to move down divisions where it will be more fun. |
It's not much more fun in the lower divisions. There are two types of parents, those who have club swimmers that are pushed to win (so that the team wins A meets), and those whose kids swim only during the summer and don't care about winning meets. This creates a bit of a tension and can tear a lower division team apart. |
What about Kentlands after going 5-0 in F Division? |
My money's on Kentlands going up at least to E. Hard to say who might replace them in F, though. |

Predictions A-C (no particular order)
A: DT SG WM RV SB RF B: CG WCF BE CV G PO C: MCF MO TH RE CCRA FV |
Compare CG to RF/WM. They beat those teams every week. They will be in A next year. |
What about DT, they can also beat teams like RF and WM, and even proved that they could beat CG. So will RF drop and CG go up? |
Its more fun if the lower ranked club swimmers get to swim a meets. |
Your kid probably still wouldn't swim A meets and whose going to pay for that? Normal is 150-250 swimmers. 100 swimmers wouldn't work with A meets. |
Its the same team regardless of the division. I just wish they'd make a requirement that you have to go to 2-3 practices a week to do a meets. I don't get why you sign up for team just to do meets. |
Both CG and DT could go up. A good chance WCF does as well. |
