You can’t use real cake ingredients for ice cream cake. The mouthfeel will be all wrong. Cake made from butter and so forth isn’t supposed to be eaten frozen. You need those “bad” ingredients. |

Ice cream cakes taste are different than slab of ice cream with frosting. More like eating an Oreo blizzard with a fudge layer and a crunchy layer and a crust, etc. But adding a hunk of soggy frozen cake just ruins it. |
Crunched up Oreos mixed with fudge. That’s it! So when you make it yourself you can add way more of the crunchies to the cake then the store bought ones |
Why not just eat frozen cake and ice cream if that is what you want? |
