Three Beers Before Going Out

Anonymous
How big is this guy?
How spaced out are these drinks (six per hour vs six in five hours)?

I don’t drink much any more but when I did, six beers in an evening was no big deal.

That's definitely a red flag. That's a lot of drinks to have before the night has even started.

Six beers in an evening is not normal never mind not healthy.

Or why is SHE on tinder or whatever lol

Dating in the US sucks, even for rich people. Americans are cold and women generally don't like being approached by men. I mean, there are even rock stars on Tinder, so this is just kind of where our society is at. Now in some other countries, I wouldn't waste my time OLD.

Which rock stars are on tinder?

Just the calories alone. A pretty standard beer we're talking 600 - 1000 calories. More depending on the type of beer.

There's a reason I lost 30lbs quickly when I quit drinking like that.

Being that wealthy at that age and never married no kids is a big red flag to me. I am not a woman, but as woman a man who is 48 has no kids never been married would give me pause.

So the pope would give you pause?

Are you proposing she date the pope? I mean even before he was dead that would have been a questionable choice.

The dating market is tough out there!

Proceeds to have three or four more drinks at whatever event we are at.

I met him OLD and I'm not really a drinker. I'll have 6 months where I have zero drinks and then 2 months where I have maybe 10 drinks a month.

I like him but this worrys me

Why do you know his income this early in dating.

Hired a PI to find out.

Now you know why he’s divorced!

He’ll likely die an early death so there’s that

No. This is bad for health, money and family.

+1

My ex started doing that midlife. He’d be a puddle at restaurants or parties because he started drinking so much before. He embarrassed his kids.

It’s alcohol use disorder. It crept up. He wasn’t like that the first 20 years that I knew him. It also leads to all kinds of other shitty behavior—-lying, cheating, etc

Nah. My ex would drink those craft beers that had more alcohol than an entire bottle of wine. So just 2 and he was already visibly buzzed, by 3 very much so…and then …time to go out. His eyes would be glassy and he’d start looking puffy faced

Ask his ex-wife but it would be a no for me.

Honestly everyone I know who makes that much money is extremely driven and that usually comes with a lot of deep mental health stuff and often self-medication.

Not a lot of balanced, healthy people make $4m a year. I’m sure they are out there, but they’re probably major outliers in terms of inherited wealth, extraordinary talent or both.

It sounds like this guy goes hard on a lot of levels. So it’s up to you if that’s what you want. Someone will be a match! It wouldn’t be me.

If you’re already bothered by the drinking this early on, it’s just going to be more noticeable and bothersome to you as time goes on. I would just move on since it doesn’t seem like you two are a good fit.
