They were wicked themed 😁 |
My teens snack on bagels with cream cheese, goldfish crackers, popcorners, fruit. |
I usually end up making something or taking something from my freezer/fridge/pantry and jazz it up. Most of my food is semi-prepped or already cooked.

Fresh fruit, organic cheeses, cut up veggies with some kind of dip (tzatziki, for example), yogurts, cottage cheese, eggs, etc. |
Oh yeah, these teens are just itching to come over to my house so they can get some of those eggs we always have on hand.
OP your snacks are fine. I also like to keep frozen easy things in the freezer that kids can heat up in the oven for an easy lunch. So, pizza, tater tots (organic) and various types of chicken nuggets (veggie, real chicken). |
Wanted to add... My kids friends are usually coming to our house after school for projects or hanging out for the day. Most of the times these are proper hot meals. No high schooler is coming to my house for bag of chips or gummy bears for sure. These are teen boys and they are eating huge amounts. Other than that, none of them are drinking soda at my house because we just do not keep soda. I only have fresh squeezed orange juice (if I have oranges on hand)s or coconut water from costco. And of course they can have my green tea. My dessert offerings are also just greek yogurt with berries, almond cookies, banana nut bread or icecream drumsticks from costco. |
If the only reason teens are coming over to your place is to get access to tater tots, you have bigger problems. |
Wha...? Is "tater tots" slang for something? NP |
Haha no, you would think i by the way the OP said it though. She just looks down at someone for stocking, say, hard boiled eggs, but feels her tater tots are an elite snack that all the kids in the neighborhood are fiending to get access to. |
Packaged food and junk snack is now readily available every where. Teens are usually having growth spurts and they have huge appetite. You are better off feeding them something substantial and not too junky. If I have 6 kids coming, I will not be spending for 4 pizzas every time or be running to get them 6 burrito bowls. And why feed other kids junky food? Won't your own kid also eat the same junk then? |
Out teens like to make stuff when their friends all come over . We recently purchased a Ninja Slushie and they love it. |
