I am Puerto Rican. I saw Kamala's message today (it was reshared by Bad Bunny) and people were talking about it so I looked it up. I appreciated it.

Then I saw this thread and the garbage being spewed by speakers with a "Trump/Vance 2024" lecturn at an official campaign rally at MSG. Disgusted is how I feel!!

Sending this to my Tia's and Tito's in FL.

Tio?

A neo-nazi jester spoke to his people and the other side is using his words against him.

Maybe thing about what you are saying before you say it?

Tonight is a disaster for Senator Scott. The PR vote will turn on him, and by this statement, MAGAs who haven't voted yet will turn on him.

You’re not part of Republican’s “special club”. They think you and your culture are “garbage” that are sullying the country, but they are happy to use you for your donations and votes. And then f#ck you over.

Trump thinks you’re all suckers. Don’t prove him right.

The whole rally was a mess. I'm beyond offended as a Latina. To see clips of those comments with a "Trump 2024" sign in front of the various speakers was everything I needed to know about Trump and his chumps.

Go Harris!

. Puerto Rican or not, his words hurt most Latinos. I am Peruvian-American, and I am so irate now. Most of us have experienced racism in one I form or another. He just woke up a bunch of Latinos to go and vote for Harris.

Puerto Rico? The wildly antisemitic island ?

Yeah - Puerto Rico’s population overwhelmingly hates Jewish people:

This was hardly the first blatantly antisemitic incident.

We all know the hate Puerto Ricans feel toward the Jewish community of the world.

So that makes it ok to make the Puerto Ricans the but of racism from Trump and his minions?

Now, one stereotype many Latinos can get behind, is that we tend to show up late for events. This time, I hope this stereotype works to our advantage, and makes those those still considering voting for Trump, to think hard about who they choose, because they will gladly take your vote, but you will not be invited to their table!

Trump and his minions are gross. No plan for us and I hope he gets no vote from us either!

I agree! Here’s that even more disgusting “joke” in full:

At another point, Hinchcliffe said Latinos “love making babies.”

“They do. There’s no pulling out. They don’t do that. They come inside. Just like they did to our country,” he said.

that's gross and demeaning. I hope they lose a lot of votes. there were so many other racist and misogynist comments made throughout the whole event by different speakers. the culture of the whole event just seems awful.
