Maybe this is a dumb question but why not form 2 teams? More $ for the club and more opportunities for the kids. NC teams have several within the same club.

Yes, they are called the RL and the NCSL and EDP teams. They are plenty in each age group. No single club in NC has 2 ECNL teams.

Anyone know the difference between ECNL and ECNL Academy teams? Charlotte seems to do that. Both appear more advanced that ECNL regional.
