New Additions to Leagues Check Up (ECNL & GA)

Michigan Jaguars
Charlotte independence
CFC (ECNL club?)
Ironbound SC

Are these considered their 3rd teams?
GA I
GA II
DPL

GAs Aspire league aka GA ll is being administered by DPL.

I bet Aspire is just GA inviting the top DPL teams to events like showcases.

There's not enough Aspire teams to create local leagues.

What happens to the current DPL teams?

Do they get pushed down to level 3 and 4?

Aspire teams being the equivalent of super DPL teams makes sense + could be given to any existing DPL club.

I don't see Tophat letting their 2nd team (navy) be dumped out of GA to aspire/dpl

Tophat also has teams in SCCL so we will see where they fall.

I would imagine just under DPL depending on how many teams a club has in a certain age group.

Yep. https://x.com/dp_league/status/1902118444155146334?s=46&t=jPTvzXlcxTo5CMOdcSvPVA

Makes you know that things are changing. Even the latest attacking third podcast debating about if there should be NWSL age restrictions coming off of McKenna Whitham becoming the youngest to enter an official match should tell you the future will be different.

More money is coming into the women's side of the game, there will be a pipeline to pro for the girls side. NWSL doing away with the college draft, if you pull girls from college they're older than when they could have actually began training and assimilaging into a pro environment.

There were age restrictions. They were deemed illegal and removed. The MLS does not have age restrictions, why should NWSL?
