Relationship Discussion (non-explicit)
| I have a decent to significant amount of body hair for a woman. I so wish I didn't have to spend so much time (shaving/bleaching) and money (laser for facial hair) dealing with it. The funny thing is most men don't seem to mind the body hair at all, some have even called it sexy?!?! I do not like and remove all the facial hair, but men, am I making too big a deal out of the body hair? |
|
You probably are. DH is Asian and seriously no women in his country even need to shave their legs (that's how little body hair they have). I'm medium hairy for a white lady.
He doesn't give a crap -- he'll tell me I'm sexy and want some tail even when I'm in mid-winter 8-weeks-unshaven full-bush glory. I think "the fashion industry" (i.e., other women and gay guys) care, but straight men, in my experience, do not. If they do...well, they are a little too prissy for my tastes. |
| Yes, I feel like I'd be so much better of in Europe where men supposedly don't care, but then again I've never gotten any complaints, probably most of the pressure is self-imposed trying to conform to US beauty ideals. |
| I don't think my DH prefers unshaven hairiness but it's not like it grosses him out or stops him from wanting to sleep with me. He will let me know if I've gone too long with my upper lip hair. |
| DH here: the majority of men don't care. A sizeable minority of men may, with some having a mild preference to some having a very intense one. You are probably giving this more thought than it needs. |
| There were nights when I was first married that I would turn my husband down after going a couple of days not shaving my legs.. even today, I'll tell him "I don't know if I'm ready" and each and every time, he tells me that he really doesn't care. He said if I was "man hairy" it'd bother him, but he really doesn't even notice otherwise. |
| My husband doesn't care but it makes me feel unsexy which in turn affects him... |
| Hair is a sign of testosterone, ironically the more testosterone and hairy the more horny a woman is but the more repulsive they are to men |
Just like baldness on men. More testosterone but a turnoff. |
| I'm a woman and I'm moderately hairy. I have very hairy arms (dark hair), and if I don't shave every other day I have very dark stubble on my legs, some nipple hair which I pluck, and I have to wax my eyebrows and my chin. My bush is pretty hairy too, but I usually just leave that as a full bush. Other than that I don't have a mustache or much hair otherwise. My hairiness does make me feel less sexy, and I feel self-conscious about it. I don't like the idea of lasering it off, and waxing only lasts a week on me, so I'm always shaving or waxing and it's very annoying. |

One of the most hilarious conversations I ever had was with a very sweet guy who told me "I'm not kinky. I just want a woman with a lot of body hair."
|
Really? You should try to learn to be more comfortable with yourself. |
My boss (who has a full head of hair) said once he had enough testosterone for both hair and women. |

I love a full bush wow

Me too. |
