Exploitative, cheesy, and unnecessarily showy. They shouldn't even be allowed at school, it's disruptive for everyone. If your parent is returning from a deployment, either stay at home that day, or after school is soon enough. both my husband and I were military, before someone screams we're antimilitary and I don't know what I'm talking about. |
Not the PP - but this is what I think she is talking about: https://youtu.be/Y2mk_zZCZVE Life is not a reality TV. |
I still don't understand why a dc can't show emotion when their father returns from a war or why it is exploitive |
Where are you pp, or was the response too cutting ![]() |
Not that PP but if childcare workers are with a young dc for 10+ hours a day, who are they on equal footing with |
Well, you're loud enough for all of them so I guess they feel like they don't need to contribute. |
Making it a show for everyone to see and posting it everywhere is the distasteful and exploitative part of it. Nothing is private anymore, and everything becomes "look at me". Nobody asks the children how they feel about having their (private) emotions broadcast and put on the internet. |
Doctors and lawyers should be of equal prestige. |
College kids being political is ridiculous and embarrassing. You can't even drink legally, what do you know about anything. |
I agree. I am mortified when I think back on all the idiotic things I said and thought, and protested about. It really is true that the brain doesn't finish forming until a person reaches their late twenties. |
Haven't voted, held a job or even stood up without parents bankrolling you, aaand from this wisdom and experience you're going to solve all our problems within 10 years ![]() |
Just because you were in idiot in college doesn't mean everyone else was. |
I would eat my hat if you could show me a 45 yo who thinks the same way and with the same intensity as they do in college ![]() |
Peanuts should NOT be banned from classrooms. If you could die from 'airborn peanut particles' then the solution is for you to live in a bubble, not for the whole world to abstain from peanuts |
Yes. It's easy to be a big liberal when you've never had to actually earn a living. Giving away other people's money is more fun than giving away YOUR hard earned cash. |
