Not affiliated with either school but from what I have seen GZ will own the faceoffs (expect 95%) and has a much better goalie. GZ’s keeper is top 3 in the WCAC (after DM and Heights). GZ kid stays calm and steady all game while SJC kid has repeatedly let one player from opposing team have a career day while giving up a game losing goal at the end.

Field players close to equal with edge to SHC but SJC has one junior defender prone to really bad penalties

Coaching edge to GZ

Intangibles fall against SJC - not as mentally prepared as previous years. Extra possessions from FO, saves and penalties make the difference for GZ

GZ 9, SJC 8 on a last minute soul crushing shot to high off stick side.

Yea the SJC, 4 star Goalie going Big 10, is worse than a Umass commit, who barely got the offer, and a goalie who transferred from GC because a freshman was better than him. GZ Netminder covers net, but is slow, heard he got pulled in the SMR game after having 4 goals allowed, with no saves.

Feel like there was probably more to it than the freshman being "better than him" given how he has kept the Heights in games all year. SJC 4 star has consistently looked overrated.

+1
Especially given the way that the GC goalie looked like swiss cheese when we came up from Leonardtown.

you realize that GC goalie didn't play the whole game right?

Just to make sure I checked the video the senior was subbed in with 6:08 left in the 4th and was subbed out with 3:07 left. The freshmen got his chance to let in 15 yard on the run shots from us for all but 3 minutes. I feel bad for that senior more then anyone because it wasn't his fault we went on a run.

GZ's issues in their losses have been EMO. They've been really bad this year. Definitely lost them the Prep Game and you could argue the Landon game.

I don't know why I'm arguing about a game my kid lost but pretending that the other goalie on senior night got any time to make a difference is a joke.

GC goalie played all but 3 minutes in the 4th (speaks a lot about Smith.) Senior goalie who looked just as bad got scored on three times and the other goalie got put right back in.

You all sound like a-holes dumping on these various goalies. It is one of the toughest jobs in sports and the kids who play the position deserve a lot more respect. No wonder people say Gonzaga is low class.

Liberal sissy attitude goalie is for the kids who couldn't pass the wall ball test. They deserve to be dumped on.

I can't wait to the entire Gonzaga team do a trunk walk around Eye Street after their 10 goal loss to beastly Cadets from Military Road.

Senior actually let in 4 goals in about 3 minutes. Starter let in 6 in 45 minutes. If that's swiss cheese, I'll have one on rye!

There's not a single good goalie in the DMV this year. Whole region sucks now. Probably not a down year either looks like DMV lax is going to be mediocre forever. Dematha, GC, and all the other teams didn't get better everyone else just got way worse. I hope all you DC NIMBY loses enjoy being relegated to mediocrity.

Best DMV teams taking fat Ls to MIAA teams that will miss the playoffs.

TF does any of this have to do with Gonzaga lol, all this BS is from everyone except Gonzaga parents. The game they're talking about above is Good Counsel v St Johns.

Anyone with the stones to get in the cage for any team gets my respect, all you pantload out of shape dads chirping from the sidelines should try eating a salad every now again, I've seen you in the stands and it's pretty sad.

Looks like the only DMV team worth anything at the national level this year is Landon.
