They will likely go to boarding school even if no divorce. Perhaps return home on weekends, they have been looking at schools nearby.

I think that this whole thing is about boarding school. They finally came to an agreement in November last year. Kate is out of commission less than two months later. Those boarding schools messed up Will and Harry. She is a very good mother who loves her kids and I think that her kids well being is basically the only thing she would go against the firm for and she is clearly making a statement against the firm right now.

Kate went to boarding school. She wants them both to attend her boarding school, which is co-ed. William and Charles finally agreed, so that was hammered out in November.

Where did Charles and William want them to attend?

Eton - which is the alma mater of Charles and William (all boys school). It has a very toxic culture that produces spoiled narcissists. Which is exactly why Kate does not want George to attend - she wants him to attend her co-ed alma mater. And she's doing it by linking George and Charlotte, so they can overlap.

George not attending Eton certainly ruffles feathers. Lots of Etonian families take a lot of pride in having their boy attend school with the future King and/or brother of the future monarch. I'm betting that there is a lot of pressure coming from the Royal social circles for George to attend Eton. The school's prestige certainly takes a big hit if the BRF sends their sons elsewhere.

This. These kind of disagreements can end even the happiest of marriages and certainly marriages of convenience.

I can't believe they did not discuss and had some agreements regarding their future heirs education before their royal wedding. Kate must have expected their boys would be attending Eton as a royal tradition unless somehow she thought she'd be able to change a long-standing tradition.

She can easily change it if she's willing to threaten divorce. A divorce and custody fight is the last thing an unpopular monarch needs. A custody fight centering around abuse at boarding schools is the last thing British public schools want

Ok, so I have a question about yesterday’s pap photo. Is it possible Kate’s head was just coincidentally turned during the 2-3 seconds the paps had to get a shot? Or is everyone convinced this was very deliberate on Kate’s part?

My 2 cents on what is going on: it seems almost undeniable there are marital issues at play. We’ve been drip fed tidbits about strife in the marriage for about a year now. Obviously there’s the Rose rumors. And them generally looking unhappy in public together. Then the more recent drip drops of a disagreement between the two related to George’s schooling. These leaks mean something. And then, there Will issuing statements on his personal crest (which apparently is unprecedented). And then the weird “personal matter” excuse. Then the random Independent article yesterday reminding us of Rose’s existence. Photogate, obviously.

I have no idea how Kate’s health situation and Kingston’s death relate to any of this (if at all), but yeah, the totality of the circumstances suggests a major marital breakdown. Yes, each thing I’ve listed has a possible alternate explanation, but I’d be shocked if they are not divorcing or on the brink of divorce.

Unlike some PPs, I don’t necessarily think this is DV or ED-related. Either of those would surprise me, but I admit there have been some Easter eggs planted that make the DV theory not *completely* deranged.

Poor Kate. The thought of losing my kids to an institution would wreck me. I don’t care that she “signed up” for it.

It's a theory. I think the sub implication is that she will also leave Will if she doesn't get her way knowing that that would be catastrophic for the KP image and that they would do almost anything to prevent it.

Right . Kensington Palace and Will is where the ire is focused on. I think there wasn’t a care in the world where Kate was until doctored photo gate. It is odd they release photos of Kate, get the photos retracted from Associated Press, then make a statement blaming Kate for a photo edit that likely wasn’t her fault at all .

The plebeians will support Kate in her war path against the family.

All royal observers knew the royal family would come down after the Queen died. Staffers loved and adored the Queen. Charles and Will’s nasty attitudes aren’t becoming and don’t nurture staffer loyalty.

Things will take a turn if Kate files for divorce. All the tea will spill and regardless if it’s a physical illness or not, Will will look horrible for cheating and mistreating his wife while she’s sick or injured
