I think that might be some people's goal but I actually don't need her to share her medical information. I am curious about the frankly insane behavior from the Kensington Palace press office, and to me that's where the drama is. If this were really just about a medical issue and recovery, and nothing more, I don't think we'd be getting weird contradictory messages from KP, and they wouldn't have tried to doctor a 5 month old photo and pass it off as new (and no, I don't believe that Catherine randomly decided to change all the colors/patterns in the photo for fun before posting it herself to their official Instagram page and distributing a copy to news agencies on her own).

This is not about invading the privacy of a woman having a medical issue. It's about a powerful, wealthy institution behaving in an erratic and suspicious way that raises questions.

This is really well stated. The abdominal surgery by itself doesn’t suggest deeper issues. I’m glad she’s recovering and I don’t need to know the medical details. I don’t think many, if any, here care whether she has a colostomy bag, despite Kate’s adorers here posting this on repeat.

It’s that KP seems to have completely lost it that suggests deeper issues (boarding school? Divorce? Something besides abdominal surgery?) that have nothing to do with colostomy bags. That’s why I’ve been here since the photoshop thing broke.

Charles, Diana’s brother, was on the news last night talking about his experience at boarding school in England and how he and his classmates were physically and sexually abused. I don’t think his timing is a coincidence.

It was a colossal PR mistake to not provide more details about Kate’s surgery and health issues. It is completely understandable that she would want privacy but this is all far worse IMHO (and that information will come out eventually anyway). Even if they had simply said “surgery due to complications from Crohn’s disease etc etc, is non life threatening blah blah”. The whole thing was mismanaged from the start.

Didn’t Harry’s book Spare mention that house mothers at his boarding school would bathe the younger boys? That seems very creepy. That, and his uncle Charles Spencer’s comments about being abused at boarding school, is driving this. Kate is advocating for her kids and the Palace’s “men in suits” are pushing for boarding school. They are trying to pressure Kate to give in.

I think that this whole thing is about boarding school. They finally came to an agreement in November last year. Kate is out of commission less than two months later. Those boarding schools messed up Will and Harry. She is a very good mother who loves her kids and I think that her kids well being is basically the only thing she would go against the firm for and she is clearly making a statement against the firm right now.

Kate went to boarding school. She wants them both to attend her boarding school, which is co-ed. William and Charles finally agreed, so that was hammered out in November.

Eton - which is the alma mater of Charles and William (all boys school). It has a very toxic culture that produces spoiled narcissists. Which is exactly why Kate does not want George to attend - she wants him to attend her co-ed alma mater. And she's doing it by linking George and Charlotte, so they can overlap.

George not attending Eton certainly ruffles feathers. Lots of Etonian families take a lot of pride in having their boy attend school with the future King and/or brother of the future monarch. I'm betting that there is a lot of pressure coming from the Royal social circles for George to attend Eton. The school's prestige certainly takes a big hit if the BRF sends their sons elsewhere.

This. These kind of disagreements can end even the happiest of marriages and certainly marriages of convenience.

I can't believe they did not discuss and had some agreements regarding their future heirs education before their royal wedding. Kate must have expected their boys would be attending Eton as a royal tradition unless somehow she thought she'd be able to change a long-standing tradition.

Photos look like they were taken at two different times of day. The white balance is very different and the second looks like flash. Orange in bricks changes a lot with normal light, by camera sensor, and basic color editing.

The current King did not attend Eton - the tradition has been broken in the past.

To me it’s a comparison between the view of the bricks though the car window vs above it. I don’t care about the color as much because one of the views is through a window. But the bricks through the window have grout and the bricks above don’t.
