Kate did not edit that photo or make the statement. Get real.

This. KP is being directed by William alone. I think Catherine has been shut out and they are speaking on her behalf, but without her input. That would explain her lack of cooperation for the brief ride with William in the Land Rover - she's pissed off that they assigned the blame to her and then forced her while in recovery to take part of a staged photo op.

Agreed. William was pressuring the staff to get the picture done causing it to be so shaddy. I do think she plays around with photoshop for fun but these pictures that are being posted in a professional capacity are passed to a team first for actual touch ups/caption writing first.

RUSHING = subpar results

I think the answer has already been postulated on this thread. I am expecting a few “I told you so” posts, once it is revealed.

Thus we find ourselves in the midst of conspiracy central, when they could have just come out with the truth and be done with it.

Just like the press and the public "were done with it" once it was public knowledge that Diana had an eating disorder, depression, and at least one suicide attempt? Ah, yes. Once those issues were out in the open, everyone left Diana alone and left her to deal with her physical and mental health in privacy, totally respecting her boundaries.

Get real.

did Diana leave the media alone? it's not a one way street. Everyone knew how much she was calling tabloids and staging pap pics.

What do you think the answer is?

If this is all about custody that seems ridiculous- the kids are accustomed to parents traveling and being raised by nannies already. Not much will change. And Kate could even become more famous and wealthy after divorce so money cannot be the issue. I don’t understand what she needs a bargaining chip or leverage for ?

Bc she won’t have full custody of the kids. They will be shelled to boarding school and she’ll see them 6x a year.
Maybe 1 week in august.

They will likely go to boarding school even if no divorce. Perhaps return home on weekends, they have been looking at schools nearby.

I think that this whole thing is about boarding school. They finally came to an agreement in November last year. Kate is out of commission less than two months later. Those boarding schools messed up Will and Harry. She is a very good mother who loves her kids and I think that her kids well being is basically the only thing she would go against the firm for and she is clearly making a statement against the firm right now.

Kate went to boarding school. She wants them both to attend her boarding school, which is co-ed. William and Charles finally agreed, so that was hammered out in November.

Where did Charles and William want them to attend?

Eton - which is the alma mater of Charles and William (all boys school). It has a very toxic culture that produces spoiled narcissists. Which is exactly why Kate does not want George to attend - she wants him to attend her co-ed alma mater. And she's doing it by linking George and Charlotte, so they can overlap.

George not attending Eton certainly ruffles feathers. Lots of Etonian families take a lot of pride in having their boy attend school with the future King and/or brother of the future monarch. I'm betting that there is a lot of pressure coming from the Royal social circles for George to attend Eton. The school's prestige certainly takes a big hit if the BRF sends their sons elsewhere.

Eton only changed the rule that alums could sign their sons up for Eton at birth within the last 20 years or so. This century. Literally the only thing that mattered for entrance was having an English pedigree.

Plenty of Americans send their kids to boarding schools.

I don't know anyone who went to boarding school.

I do, but they are all super wealthy -- not UMC, but generational wealth. Also know a couple who were scholarship kids with single moms.

By contrast my cousins in England with a doctor dad (so more UMC) did attend boarding school. So I think you are probably more likely to encounter boarding schoolers in England than in America, where you need to be upper crust to see that world.

DP. I went to an Ivy and know tons of people who went to boarding school and one of my siblings did. It’s basically terrible if your the scholarship thing and fun if your family is wealthy and you’re the right type of person. That guy who threw a Molotov cocktail into an empty police car and was prosecuted went to boarding school with a friend of mine and she is convinced that due to that and other similar experiences he just snapped.

Maybe it has something to do with the scar she has on the side of her head from a previous surgery. Brain tumor? Moya moya disease? Etc? The american pap picture of her in the car with her mom looked like her hair was matted on that side and then the second pic of her in the car with Will showed her turning away so as not to see that side of her head. I think "abdominal surgery" was a red herring.

Some of the speculation is silly but even the craziest conspiracy theories I've read, I don't see anyone acting like Qanon. People are just bored and gossiping about the royal family is a way to pass the time. It's no different from gossiping about Brad and Angelina or speculating whether the stars of a television show actually hate each other behind the scenes.

I would never gossip about my friends but view royals as fair game. I've been exchanging theories on Kate's whereabouts with my two closest friends via text to keep my mind of some work stress. It's great and harmless.

I haven’t even seen a “conspiracy “ theory on this thread yet. Not all theories are “ conspiracy theories.”

Except Charles didn’t attend Eton. He had a very unhappy time at gordonstoun.

Astonishing how far fact free speculation can take one.

Not if CNN or another US outlet wants any kind of access in the future

depends on what kind of access they have now

Honestly - just glancing over these comments and the hype I can't help wonder does the world want her to kill herself? The sort of pressure she must be under right now - whatever the true circumstances surrounding her health and marriage - gives me anxiety and I don't typically follow the RF. I wish the press and the internet would let this poor woman be.

She was loved, glowing press, then she needs serious surgery and people now hate her with a passion, speculate she's suicidal, anorexic, beaten by her dh, dead...I cannot imagine the toll that takes on someone. It's worse than the Meghan and Diana shit really, because it's about a person's health, not supposed bad behavior with staff or affairs.

I think you're misunderstanding. We're not mad at Kate. We think this is KP or Will behaving erratically. Something has happened TO her and we're worried. I think the whole world would support Kate against Will.

We may have to wait thirty years to find out - when they do the next episodes of The Crown.
