If Obama wins, which school will they choose for those two adorable girls?

Just wondering if Sidwell is already recruiting!

Interesting. GDS is probably most similar to the school they attend in Chicago (Lab) (personality-wise) with Sidwell being a close second. But, Obama's foreign policy advisor, Susan Rice, is an alum of NCS and on the board of Beauvoir, so, anyone's guess!

When was the last time a president sent his kids to public school in DC? Didn't Amy Carter go public? I think that the Bush twins went to public school in Austin.

Amy Carter went to Hardy, if my memory serves....

Amy Carter went to Stevens, which I think doesn't exist anymore.

That's the difference between a government salary and a private sector salary.

Nope; his wife is a very succesful physician. They live in AU Park and figured why not send their kids to the excellent local school. Like many of us, they figured they'd go private after elementary, and that's what they did. And they have 3 kids in private school.

Susan Rice's kids now go to Maret.

Amy Carter went to Hardy which was in Palisades, where Rock Creek International was. I went to GDS at the time and there were bomb threats alot with the school being evacuated. Also special security all over the block. It all seemed exciting in 6th grade!

How about Sarah Palin's kids? Do they go to Christan school?

I'll bet they would go to the DC public schools (Palin's children).

All I can say is thank God they don't have a 3 y/o

The public nearest the VP's house would be Oyster. no way she would go bilingual. i'd bet for private, maybe someplace in the 'burbs.
