Ukrainian victory over Russia is inevitable

Sending cluster munitions to Ukraine is a mistake. The decision bloodies our hands when Russian civilians are inevitably killed and makes open conflict between Putin and us even more likely.

It’s not ideal for it to end

Biden is managing this perfectly

Keep it simmering for years on end as long as Zelenskyy is willing to expend gentile Ukrainians to grind Russia down

Until he unnecessarily escalated our involvement by sending controversial cluster bombs. Now Ukraine gets to bomb innocent Russian civilians on the American taxpayer's dime.

Lol - one could only hope. Unfortunately the 155s cannot reach Russian soil.

And there are no innocent Russians.

Not sure about that. But they're going to a helluva job clearing out those defensive trenches. Hopefully they arrive to the frontlines soon.

Biden can’t even manage his own speech.

Your point being….?

Biden is a master strategist.

Willing to take the political capital hit in existing Afghanistan while 3 other presidents failed

Measuring the optimal response to bleed Russia out - not too fast not too slow

Fwiw I voted for trump because I didn’t trust Biden and I bought into all the obamaworld jokes about Biden

I’m def voting for Biden in 2024 (ideally he’d replace Kamala tho).

I deplore the use of cluster bombs. The US wants to get rid of its inefficient weaponry, no matter how much suffering it causes, just because it fears giving F16s to Ukraine, which is should have done LAST YEAR, and thousands of lives on both sides would have been saved!!!

Ukraine cannot survive without its allies, but I understand Zelensky's private rage: it's like owing your life to a hostage taker that wants to see you suffer before allowing you bread and water.

I've been supportive of US and NATO support for Ukraine, but I'm starting to get cold feet. Despite the billions of arms provided to Ukraine, their counteroffensive has run into a brick wall of anti-armor mines, defensive fortifications, and Russian air superiority. Unfortunately, it looks like this war is boiling down to a WW1 type stalemate at tremendous human cost. Realistically Russia is so weakened that it doesn't pose a foreseeable threat to NATO members, so I think it's appropriate for the US to start pushing for a negotiated settlement, which basically boils down to some degree of continued Russian occupation.

Why cole feet?

If it’s a ww1 stale-mate, that’s strategically perfect for the us.

Spend a few billion a year to keep shelling Russian positions is super cheap — can do this for a decade.

Only when the Ukrainians want to stop , then the us has to accede to negotiations

If Ukrainians want to fight, this is the perfect situation.

It’s always been rules for thee but not for me for the US. So, not surprised. When America invades and kills, it’s sometimes “regrettable” but never ever a crime.

The Russians have committed war crimes (encyclopedias full) for the past 1.5 years. So, so be it with the cluster bombs. Hopefully, they're particularly effective against the trench positions.

Ironically, you’re posting this from a country built on war crimes,

So be it. Now, we're helping fight against a country that has perfected them.

Tell me more about how you applaud an international court warrant for Putin with your right hand while fighting for all Americans to have immunity from that court with your left.

Tell me more about how you profess to despise illegal land grabs and ethnic cleansing out of the right corner of your mouth while granting unconditional support and money to Israel out of the left one.

Tell me more about your commitment to fight tyrants and spread democracy…once your mouth is on its scheduled break from fellating the Gulf dictators.

Tell me more about your moral quandaries while Russia soldiers rape toddlers to death.

DP but I think toddler rape was propaganda and exposed as such.

Highly predictable and highly effective. Just like good folks at Hill and Knowlton knew that “dead babies!!!!” will disable all critical thinking for the Iraq war. Remember the tearful (false) testimony about babies tossed out of the incubators? Watch this space long enough and you’ll notice the same tired story flogged again. Dead babies sell, even if made up.

Regardless of what you want to believe, it's true and documented in a U.N. report.

All cluster bombs are are a bunch of grenade like bombs. When you drop a bunch at once of mini timed cheap explosives you have some that do not go off.

No big deal.

It’s not like Ukraine is kidnapping children en masse or copping off prisoners of war heads.

That is all ISIS and Russians.
I personally would prefer napalm. E dropped on the trenches but Ukraine does not have the aircraft for that (yet).
Napalm is way more terrifying, and one of the worst ways known to die.

Then you should not prefer napalm. You should push for NATO to offer air supremacy to Ukraine - modern military advantages that will shorten the war and save lives.

Go away, all you horrible torturers with your banned weaponry. By the way, Europe wanted to send jets to Ukraine months ago, and is against cluster munitions. The only moron here is the US, who stalled the jet fighter process and now wants to send inhumane weapons to the front line to "make-up" for it.

Just because Russia started this stupid war, and has committed atrocities, it should not mean we have to stoop to their level when we have other means at our disposal.

This is so frustrating and irritating.

The Neocons and Military Industrial Complex support Biden...

Barrasso on Fox: I see the President doing that now with a cluster bombs, I support those. This should have happened long ago, Russia has been using those for a long time..there's so much delay in..ultimately getting-- to Ukraine what they need.
