Not interested in going back to school. Fwiw, I'm pretty sure I could consult or switch to a nonprofit or CBO..Just wondering what else is out there, and curious to hear from folks who managed to cut back their work hours.

I work 30 hours a week and make over $100K. I don't have a professional degree, just a B.A. But I have a very specialized skill related to government contracting. Do you have a particular area of expertise that people would want on a consulting basis?

I make $85K working for a university. Worked for 7 years before cutting hours, though. I think that's the key -- you have to prove yourself and then ask for PT.
I also telecommute 75% of the time. |
