This is fascinating.

Oh, i see the TBI one. I still don't get why people are saying she was unhappy or had terrible things posted on her IG or social media. I guess it must be related to the brother's social media, which i have no insight into. |
She quit work shortly after meeting John, right? I know nothing of her health. I don’t understAnd your last sentence? I did see some screengrabs of salacious comments on her IG, they were captured within minutes of it locking down. As far as happiness, that’s subjective. Idk why she’d be unhappy but I also have no reason to believe she was happy. |
Can't small traces of Fentanyl be deadly? |
Oh I hope if they planned a suicide and murder of daughter/dog they used a quick acting agent. Extracting the liquid from a fentanyl patch would do it. Better than dying from heat I suppose. The more I think about this case the more I consider it was FA. |
I did not look through Ellen/John or their family’s social media. Do we know if their family live near Ellen and John? I thought John’s family live in UK but does Ellen’s family live nearby in California? |
I see posts about Ellen possibly being unhappy. Sounds reasonable to me. No more job, swanky loft life, travels, bars, burning fests, now a baby, living in a remote area with little socialization. John was purchasing Mariposa way before meeting Ellen. Therefore he might have preferred living there.
For me to believe Ellen liked Mariposa, she’d have to convince me. I think it would have been incredibly lonely for her to live there. In SanFran she could see friends easily, just using the amenities their condo offered would allow socialization. Wonder if she had severe postpartum? |
She quit work in the tech industry 3 years ago after being diagnosed with a “debilitating health condition”. Subsequently, taught yoga and getting a degree in counseling. Not sure when she met Jon. I looked through her Instagram before it was taken down and saw nothing out of the ordinary and no indication of mental health issues. In fact, she looked like she had it all—beautiful family complete with cute baby and adorable dog and plenty of money and newly renovated home. Obviously, this could all be a mirage, but that could be the case for anyone who posts on social. I don’t know what people mean by “salacious” screen shots of comments. Where’s her brother’s insta? What does that say? |
Where do you see posts about Ellen being unhappy? |
People committing suicide keep that as their greatest secret. Almost always a terrible surprise. |
Why are there all these posts blaming Ellen? They were all clearly overcome by some outside agent. You really think she'd kill the dog too? Seriously people... |
Absolutely she would kill her dog, she would not leave him to grieve for her. Read up on celebrities that take their own life and that of their dog. |
They sure don’t sit around Sunday brunch discussing plans. Just because she had a renovated home does not imply she was happy with life. Seems to me a lot of people are basing their opinions on John’s financial success and operating under the assumption all was perfect when it was probably not. Public records of real estate holdings show heavily mortgaged properties. I’m going to do a deep search and see how many other people in Mariposa area died that day. Despite high temperatures I’m confident others went outside. A post I read on another site made a lot of sense. Commit M/S in the woods to avoid neighbors dropping by and perhaps summoning help just in time or administering narcan. Burning man mantra “leave no trace.” |

There’s a term for killing a pet before suicide. |
Don’t waste time trying to explain. People can’t fathom someone with a renovated house, successful husband, baby and a dog might be living in misery and despise every aspect of her life. Perhaps because they strive for the same life, a life they perceive as perfect. Better to pretend they snorted algae or fatigue from carrying an exhausted dog in the heat killed them. Ignore the fact they lived at the trailhead and knew no one else was using the trail ensuring them complete privacy. |
