So what if it was earlier? She didn't say they were in couples counseling BECAUSE of the front door - just that it came up in the course of the counseling.

Wow you guys are really scraping the bottom of the barrel. I imagine if they're a busy working couple, it's very possible that the part of the remodel with the door finished at one point and they were discussing it in therapy some time later -- what's the problem? I think that's great. We have two young kids, and I'm sure if we ever had a chance to sit down and talk there'd be a lot to catch up on.

Any way you look at it -- this isn't a zero sum game. We need to stop thinking of our nation's politics like some kind of sports game, with two teams and winner take all. At the end of the day we have to live together. I think that's what Senator Coons and Flake were trying to get at. The level of public discourse has totally deterioriated with the 24/7 news cycle. When I was growing up, there were three news programs and we watched them from 6-7 PM. People thought about it and then went on with their lives. There is not going to be that much more you can do about it. This wasted energy going into the reality TV entertainment spectacle that our nation's news has become would be much better off devoted to one's own family, community, and the causes one cares about.

Hardly. She never said the door was added May 2012, but rather that is when she told of the incident in counseling, *after* major home renovation had been completed. Maybe the door was early on in the project and other work followed.

She brought up the door as a key point for the marriage counseling.

Yes and that adds up. The door was added before the counseling where she told of what happened. Honestly Inciuldnt care less if he assaulted her or not but acting like this somehow disproves her timeline is wrong. One is before the other just as she said. Her statement was no more specific so it is what it is.

I would go back and listen to her testimony:

The reason this came up in counseling is that my husband [Russell Ford] and I had completed an extensive remodel of our home, and I insisted on a second front door, an idea that he and others disagreed with and could not understand.”

She continued, “In explaining why I wanted to have a second front door, I described the assault in detail. I recall saying that the boy who assaulted me could someday be on the U.S. Supreme Court and spoke a bit about his background. My husband recalls that I named my attacker as Brett Kavanaugh.”


The door was added in 2008. Came up in marriage counseling in 2012.

So she's saying that in 2008 she explained the attack and reason for the second front door to her husband and he still rejected the idea and could not understand and it needed to be drug up in marriage counseling four years later? What?

And once again, the second front door was part of a garage to apartment conversion to host google interns, to give them a private entrance. WTF does that have to do with fear?

Ford insinuated that the second door was needed because she became claustrophobic after the sexual assault. She also tied that to her fear of flying.
