Hannity
Tucker Trump Dr Oz Rudy Fox News in general. All traitors. |
Unsurprisingly, this did not age well. What say the MAGAts now? |
Retired military family here. As one who has read lots of studies (on a different subject), I know this: scientific studies are based on controls. This article did not list any possible variables--e.g. how sick were the patients when they were first given the drug? How many were in the control group vs the group receiving the medication? Were the ages and other health issues the same? Were those receiving the drug and the control group in the same hospitals? etc. etc. Lots of vagueness in this article. Did each hospital involved have similar results? etc. etc. |
Where are the controlled studies Trump used to make his bombastic claims? They don't exist! No one knows if HCO works for sure so really he should stop giving medical advice. Thanks! |
| I hope some of the people who have been hurt by the side effects of hydroxychloroquine will sue Dr. Donald "what have you got to lose" Trump? |
+1 Wow.
|
Wow indeed. “Researchers analyzed medical records of 368 male veterans hospitalized with confirmed coronavirus infection at Veterans Health Administration medical centers who died or were discharged by April 11. About 28% who were given hydroxychloroquine plus usual care died, versus 11% of those getting routine care alone. About 22% of those getting the drug plus azithromycin died too, but the difference between that group and usual care was not considered large enough to rule out other factors that could have affected survival. Hydroxychloroquine made no difference in the need for a breathing machine, either. Researchers did not track side effects, but noted a hint that hydroxychloroquine might have damaged other organs. The drug has long been known to have potentially serious side effects, including altering the heartbeat in a way that could lead to sudden death.” |
Laura Ingraham too |
+2 Was curious if the link had been posted yet. What a complete cluster. I feel so badly for those with lupus (and others) who actually rely on this drug. |
| Not to mention the families of the 50% more deceased that were killed to satisfy the whims of a mad man. |
Why? Are you worried about the side effects. SIL has been taking it for years. Also, has had no problem with it. |
There are shortages of the drug that people like your SIL need because of Trump hyping it. |

Only anecdotal, but my SIL has had no trouble getting it. As for the study, go find the abstract and read it. It was only tried in the very, very sick and almost all had serious comorbidity. Go read the discussion. Yes, the results were not promising with these people--many of whom had pulmonary disease and/or diabetes. Most were African American where this disease has been most deadly. The studies in France said it is best used early. |
Sadly, we don’t have enough testing here to catch cases early. One of the pitfalls of not prioritizing testing. |
