Quarantine Confessions (share yours here)

I work for a very small charity that has been overrun with rude, demanding and pushy clients for years. People who are ask to follow rules refused. Those who longer qualified were forging and referring friends, using fake addresses, etc. Leadership has been hesitant to intervene despite complaints.

Well now, we've shut down for the foreseeable future.
Don't mean to be heartless, but it's time for a reset.

I'm scared to death for my college freshman child who came home last week and has been fighting a low grade fever since. Kid has other symptoms and has been isolated in their room for days. The things I've read about people improving then rapidly declining is terrifying me.

I’m constipated and have 50 rolls of toilet paper waiting to be used.

Look how much cleaner the world has become- the air, the water...
also, there are so many seniors in care homes whose relatives will be secretly relieved if they died.
There are homeless people who are supposedly harder hit by the virus; in any case, I see much fewer of them now...
I think this is a means to rebalance the world...

You’re awful. I don’t want my elderly parents to pass away. That’s why we’ve been careful to follow the 6 ft social distancing. Luckily, my parents are in their own home.

Youtube is bad bad bad. If it's not influencers just aiming for clicks while kinda being a little right-wing-Nazi (like Pewdiepie), it's the influence of a LOT of money being spent strategically to brainwash your kids.

Conservatives use youtube to radicalize kids (Prager U is the most obvious funded effort).
So does the far right, and Nazis.
So do Muslim extremists.
The Russians spend money on Youtube to propagandize us and kids.
The Chinese spend money on Youtube to propagandize us and kids.
The Epoch Times, the Babylon Bee, Prager U, Jordan Peterson - it's cults and crazies ALL over Youtube.
The Boston bomber was radicalized on Youtube (perhaps with help from the Russians).
Many of the recent young white neo-Nazi types (Dylan Roof, the Montreal kid who watched and loved Peterson and Ben Shapiro) got some radicalization on youtube.

Youtube is basically a cancer on our society. And Google and Susan Wojciecki don't care. Because they're making big money. At our expense.

I feel like it's only been a week and that already this post is a cry for help. Please don't let another week go by without an attempt to work through these feelings with a qualified professional

Oh, I like that idea!
G/F has been staying with me and I can put on a suit and tie, she can wear a short dress with thigh highs and garters, and take some "dictation"!

We call it “Me Too time”!

Just so long as you're not part of the rebalancing, I take it?

I never said it was intentional or that I was happy about it.
Just that it has some unintended consequences that might be ultimately good for the planet.
I think it is just happening... I might be part of it, or just a casualty.

I never said I was happy about it or wished death on anyone. I am just entertaining the idea of unintended consequences.

I am fantasizing about my ex boyfriend from college and wishing that he would have married me.

NP ignore this PP asshole, OP. What you've said about Youtube is spot on. I've got older teen sons and I've seen first hand the effects of the propaganda there. OF COURSE it's not all there is on Youtube--but the influencers target young kids--particularly middle schoolers. Those boys at that all catholic school with the Hitler salute, Pewdiepie, Prager U, all of it.

It's a menace and something should be done to control the spread of alt-right hate on Youtube.

I just completed my third oral report of the week!

Good girl! I hope you've gotten bent over the desk, too.

I now know what all this rose wine hype is about. 5:00 after being both teacher and doing my own work, it's rose time. I have between a half and a full glass. Yes, please!

I just ate 6 servings of badam milk-flavored chia pudding in order to make room for the gallon of whole milk a neighbor left on our patio to make room for the family pack of chicken drumsticks that her DH got today.

NP. You are still gross. The museums of the world benefit from objects stolen in Africa by colonialists and in Europe by the Nazis. Do you think that’s a benefit?

What is our problem, PP? I've been doing the same and I don't get it. I'm happy in my life and haven't thought of him in years.
