It appears Bolton's book undercuts Trump's defense

God y'all are stupid as shit. The world isn't black and white.

Bolton is a fact witness claiming a direct conversation with the defendant about the topic at the heart of the entire case. His testimony is critical to the trial, whether what he testifies exonerates the man or not.

Didn’t Bolton claim Saddam had WMDs? So Bolton isn’t a war criminal anymore? No more to The Hague with Bolton? Ok!

Did Bolton say that under oath. Then he should be in jail. Does not mean if he is a witness to another crime he should be prohibited from testifying...

But dcum says Bolton is an honest truthful respected patriot, starting today!

Not a single person here said that.

Never trust a guy with a mustache.

Which 'deep state' operative foisted Bolton onto POTUS Trump's team? Lindsey Graham was Bolton's 'political rabbi.'

ALL that matters is what he knows. We need documentary evidence to back up his verbal claims.

Do you not understand that someone you can otherwise revile can still be relevant to a trial?

Ever heard of mobsters turning state's witness? You think everyone involved in those cases suddenly LOVED those guys? No. They just knew things, so the prosecution mined their knowledge and got evidence from them.

So Bolton was honest and truthful always?

Huh?! No. Of course not.

That's why you request DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE to back up his claims. You look to see whether his claims and the surrounding evidence corroborate testimony from other witnesses. It's called BUILDING A CASE.

Have you NEVER had to put an argument together?

Why didn’t democrats subpoena Bolton to testify in the House?

Ahh... another idiot head of the hydra springs up...

Sadly, Bolton has fouled his nest, he has shown himself to be a racist liar,
His time to be a hero was LAST year

There's a saying... "useful idiot". Senate should call on Charles Kupperman Deputy National Security Adviser to testify, and based on Trump's legal team's whole argument of how no witness was at the meeting, they should be wanting him to testify, no? Kupperman could easily dispute what is in Bolton's book.

Demanding the Bolton testify has nothing to do with him being a "hero" and it has nothing to do with "liking him", or even for that matter trusting him. The information we have seen and previous testimony we have heard demands him as a firsthand witness. People will determine their opinions about his credibility and trustworthiness during his testimony.

Trump should stop being such a patsy and make better decisions about who to pick for his team.

Amen. I did not like how POTUS Trump deferred to others regarding the design of his walls. I am underwhelmed by the prospect of what either is or is not being built along our southern border.

Trump deferred to others on the great healthcare he was going to come up with. He also blames generals when something goes wrong, but gives himself credit if something goes right. Typical narcissist.

It's not like he has much of a choice. He has fired or scared off competent people, so he's scraping from the bottom of the barrel now. His fault!

He isn't even scraping from the bottom of the barrel, there are scores of unfilled jobs, like, you know, disaster response at the CDC. That is not important right now
