Well, since FCV will be in Springfield from now on perhaps this Sidwell girl will be able to play for them. LOL |
| D3 for sure |
| Back to the topic. FCV remains the class of local DA clubs. Arlington and Spirit have not been competitive in the girls DA and Arlington has girls DA in only two age groups. I expect more of the same to continue. FCV will continue to crush other local DA clubs. |
Arlington has full GDA now. Not a single person at FCV is capable of seeing beyond the past. |
Arlington 06 DA went 6-5-3 and they beat FCV twice. |
According to DA website, DA's youngest age group was 05 this season so your stats for non-DA teams are meaningless, Arlington has only 05 and 04 age groups. For 05 group they don't keep the standings, but Arlington 05s lost to both FCV and Spirit. Arlington 04 is in the 6th place in the 8 team division having won 7 games and lost 16 games with - 16 goal difference. The last game they played against FCV, Arlington lost 0-5. |
Pick Arlington and filter by U13 and the results are there. |
|
Just get on the FCV bandwagon.
From what I can tell, the 05 team will be the strongest in the entire DMV region. I am not even an FCV parents but will give credit where credit is do. https://www.soccerwire.com/news/clubs/youth-girls/fc-virginia-teams-kicking-off-u-s-soccer-girls-da-playoffs-this-week/ |
| Last year this board was full of chest thumping Arlington parents forecasting success in DA. |
This might be the dumbest post this month Why would anyone “get on the bandwagon” for a girls soccer team. Jesus you’re delusional. The only fans are parents. |
Can you tell because your daughter is on the team? |
This is correct. Arlington had a very strong group at the 2006 age group. I think the core of this team was already solid at u12 and they added several string players from close-by areas. They can compete athletically with FCVs group. |
With full Girls DA and with families from DC and inside the beltway looking for a more convenient option, i think Arlington is going to continue to get better. Even the 04s are likely to move up the table this year. |
| As mentioned previously on this thread the FCV 06 team lost to Loudoun ECNL and lost to Arlington DA twice. This age group for FCV is not as dominant as the 05s and older groups. The 07's will slip a bit more as well based on game history (although still a talented bunch from what I've seen). FCV appears to be losing its dominating edge slightly at the younger ages. We'll see how the TSJ move helps or hurts at these younger ages and if FCV even keeps a footprint in Loudoun at the '08 and younger ages. My guess is that Bobby will be gone in a year or two, as will CZ, and the TSJ coaches will start to take over. However, as long as they have the "DA" moniker they will attract talent. |
Just give FCV credit for being a strong club. Yes, we will have to wait and see how things change moving forward but clearly, the club is a successful DA program. |
