Man this is bad.

Many more need to go to lock-up.

I really hate how nonchalantly this is always thrown out there when men go to prison. I don't wish that upon anyone. Even him.

I guess you're a better person than I am. --NP

Yes, she is. Pretty much.

Appropriate steps to demonstrate we take this seriously:

Every member of the USA Gymnastics board resigns. Every coach involved with Nassar fired.

All USOC board members and top officials resign.

All United States Olympic participation voluntarily suspended until the 2024 Games.

I feel awful for all the girls, but Mattie Larson’s statement was particularly heartbreaking. I hope this has helped them with the healing process. The whole culture at USAG needs to change- the camps, letting individuals like the Karolyis have too much power, etc.

Nothing will change without a complete reorganization of the US Olympic Committee and USA Gymnastics.

Agreed?

Ummm... how would making it so that kids can’t compete in the Olympics til 2024 help the victims? Isn’t that a form of punishment for speaking up?

USAG (as I have already said) is full of a bunch of unsophisticated poorly educated ex-gymnasts. So they can't tell a real doctor from a fake one.

DOs are real doctors. Nassar sucks at life but your post is insulting and useless.

I posted this. Since this is a brag, I’m also an M.D., we all know that D.O. schools are where you go when you didn’t get into an M.D. program. Plus non-surgical sports medicine is a poorly defined specialty.

I agree.

Agree x 2. Violent America again.

Agree again. Abuse in prison should not be an aspect of justice in the 21st century.

No, it shouldn’t be, but when it’s a prolific serial rapist and predator who preyed upon children? I just... I can’t find it within myself to get too worried about it, you know?

"This [MSU] is not Penn State. It is worse."

We should show up in droves to protest Maryland hosting the upcoming MSU vs Maryland basketball game... carrying signs with the above quote and other forceful statements. I'm sure it would make a major impact with all tv the media and all.

How about it, y'all? Demand a complete housecleaning of all those who covered for the bastard and those who kept quiet, knowing that hundreds of girls were getting vaginally and rectally violated during required "treatments" by a brutal rapist employed by MSU and USA Gymnastics.

These young women who endured this kind of repeated assault deserve our support. It's the least we can do. Enough is enough.

It irritates me when people have this fantasy that pedophiles ‘get it’ in prison. I think it’s a misplaced fantasy that doesn’t really happen.

USOC has given USAG board members warning to resign or be disbanded:

Should have been done a long time ago but better late than never. The organization needs a complete overhaul, they have operated on a culture of fear and intimidation for too long. As Mattie Larson said, Nassar was only part the f the puzzle. That the Karolyis were able to retire on their own terms and likely never have to answer for their part is disgusting.

And when a crazed judge is explicitly calling for it, while the public cheers, there is something wrong with the culture as a whole.
