| I'd rather people bring their big, dopey, snuffalufagus-like dogs everywhere, than their yappy, barky, spastic purse dog. |
I've never seen that at a restaurant. Where is that restaurant?
Eventually the entitled dog owners are going to be their own undoing. Owners taking dogs into stores that do allow dogs are going to end up finding those stores start restricting their policies after more and more people bring more dogs in, and other customers complain, or dogs get into merchandise or make messes. I know the "my dog is perfectly behaved and should go anywhere" posters will jump in to say their dogs would never chew on anything in a shop or pee on something indoors. Fine. Just keep bringing your dogs more and more to Macy's and everywhere. |
I've seen dog poop on the floor at a Home Depot. |
| I recently brought my dog into HomeGoods. It was fine, we walked the store, got a few things and left. No one seemed to notice my 40lb dog. |
Trust me they noticed, we all notice. You are just too obtuse to think about other people. You're one of THOSE people.
| It has gotten really bad. So many people are abusing this that people with real service animals are starting to get hassled. |
+1 Everyone's looking at you like "oh, she's that crazy b*tch." You're just in your selfish head. |
People noticed. The people that work there just don't want to deal with a crazy, loud customer complaining about someone asking her not to bring her dog into the store. |
There is some minor recourse that your BIL has. https://www.fastcasual.com/articles/treatment-of-service-dogs-at-restaurants-and-the-law/
So, if your BIL sees inappropriate behavior from a "service animal" from the above list, he can ask the patron to control their service animal and if they cannot, then he can ask that the person and animal leave. So, those difficult yappy dogs can be asked to leave. The dogs that won't sit down and approach other tables and disturb nearby tables can be asked to leave. The ones that get fed by their owners in the restaurant can be asked to leave. |

What's with the new "NO LOITERING" signs outside of CVS where they can't even bother to replace a missing no-pets sign (or did they intentionally remove the lousy "CVS loves your pets" sign?)? They ALL need real, professional "NO PETS ALLOWED" signs and employees to enforce this policy!!! Some lady just walked in with her little pooch dressed in a raincoat, obviously not any kind of service-dog attire (or behavior). Btw, I've seen dog feces within 2 feet of the store.
And in Whole Foods? Really???!!! A woman had her big, fluffy pooch in there with her!!! It was not a service dog; the behavior was obvious!!! LEAVE THE CREATURE OUTSIDE OR LEAVE IT AT HOME AND WALK IT LATER!!!
Sometimes, when they bring them into CVS, the CVS employees are completely unaware of the policy. One CVS employee recently said, "I don't know -- maybe they changed it [the policy]."
I recently saw a photo of various pieces of dog feces along the floor of a Staples. Seriously, pet owners, you don't see why pets are banned from stores?
They believe their animals have become their children. Sad. |
