I’m sure that data center super PACs will be next. How fun for our county.

Gross. That’s not the place that I thought we were.

Those ads are extremely dumb and deceptive but it is not surprising to me at all that they are working - voters here are really not knowledgeable about local politics or the basic structure of how the council and the school system work and what they each have authority over.

- Friedson supporter

I wasn’t in this for anyone but I just donated to Jawando after reading the memo.

Good idea.

A little late for this election cycle. But it will fuel his account so he can turn it around and use it for whatever new office he goes after.

He can’t carry over because it’s a publicly financed account. Anything he doesn’t spend will be returned to the county, whether it was a private donation or matching funds.

Just a reminder that the people who back Friedson want to limit public input on policy. That’s because the policies they advocate help them not you. If Friedson had good ideas he wouldn’t need to spend $2 million to get you to vote for him.

How is Friedson trying to limit public input on policy?

He complains about it and his donors absolutely want to limit public input.

I truly don’t like any of the three. I guess I dislike Glass the least so I guess I’m voting for him, but none of them seem like they’re going to fix the mess we’re in.

Could you share some links? Is he someone trying to shut down testimony at public hearings or close public comment on proposed regulations?

Wes Moore, who is very YIMBY and has been endorsing YIMBYs in races against NIMBYs all over the state and in many county races, endorsed Jawando. Maybe this will put to bed the ridiculous claim that Jawando is anti-housing because he opposed some odious bills.

He also endorsed Jet Setting Sayles, so I don't think this is the flex that Jawando thinks it is.

He endorsed all the council incumbents so kind of a different thing. At least Friedson has his endorsements from Hans Riemer and Roger Berliner.

No. Not Mink or Balcombe.

They hate public support. If it doesn’t favor them they have 10,000 excuses why it wasn’t fair. It’s the YIMBY way.

Hey Will -- If you're reading this, please send out flyers and make ads telling voters who was responsible for "no right turn on red" and vowing to repeal it. You'll capture probably half of voters.

So did GGW so this isn’t quite the flex that you think it is. Maybe the YIMBYs should check their priors on Jawando. I think they could work with him on some common sense bills but he just won’t go for the tax giveaways or drift far from Thrive, which get voted for, because compact growth is a good idea.

Not a fan of Wes Moore, so this is less than persuasive for me.
