| I think schools can and will open tomorrow. But will APS announce this, or just say nothing since there’s no change to normal operations (assuming there aren’t any)? |
| I think they either announce a 2 hour delay this afternoon or say nothing. |
Schools that can open should open. But, holding the entire district back because some are not ready is equity. |
| I’m thinking 2 hour delay- temp at 7am will be 15 degrees! |
|
| I think a 2 hr delay is likely. There are still way too many roads with one way passable and disappearing lanes. I wish it weren’t the case, but that’s the reality of the situation. |
| I think there will be a 2 hour delay so that we can deal with walking over the ice mounds in the daylight. |
| I think 2-hour delay to give extra time for teacher parking, kids walking on icy sidewalks, etc- so most people won’t know what to expect. Normal start time Tuesday. |
| They will have to at least delay. Middle schoolers would have to walk on the roads in the dark. |
| How are buses going to make turns on these one lane roads? I think that’s a considerable question, especially in parts of the county with more narrow roadways. |
| Does anyone have any actual insider info? Parents are trying to figure out if they need to have childcare for tomorrow. |
| ^ I mean, what is really going to change between 1 PM now and 5 PM tonight? |
| in my opinion, we should have off tomorrow as high as will be above freezing and will give crew more time to clear roads on bus routes. |
We should, but so many people think school is day care, and would have a fit. |
Actually, some of us have high schoolers who need grades for transcripts and need to to talk to their teachers in person. |
