| Didn't read the whole thread, but isn't Comey getting due process? He's innocent until proven guilty and will have his day in court. You might think this is political, but if he broke the law and is convicted, what does that matter? If he's found not guilty, then that's fine too. |
So did Pam Bondi and RFK Jr. |
Allegedly. How communist of you to think that just because a prosecutor say you committed a crime, you are deemed guilty until you prove prosecution wrong |
Agreed. Then let's do Bondi for also lying under oath. Then, Hegseth and Noem. Let's have them all tried for perjury. If we believe perjury is wrong, it's not political to put Bondi in front of a grand jury. |
Bondi clearly lied to Congress. She said she wouldn't work for the president, or do his bidding. It's the easiest case of perjury out there. A kindergartner could try the case and win. |
You can't perjure yourself regarding a future happening. So, your kindergartener would not win that case. |
What does that matter? It matters because prosecutors are THE most powerful actors in this country, with the power to destroy lives whether their charges result in convictions or not. This is precisely why they have the ethical obligation to never bring charges against a defendant for which they do not have a good faith belief they can prove to the very high standard of beyond a reasonable doubt to achieve conviction. For an insurance lawyer with zero prosecutorial experience and barely any criminal practice experience to overrule multiple US Attorneys and an entire office of line prosecutors who explained in exhaustive detail in a declination memo why there was insufficient evidence to meet the standard of proof required for a faithful and honest prosecution of Comey is the height of professional irresponsibility and the depth of unethical lawyering, FULL STOP. USA Hooligan the failed beauty pageant contestant has taken a giant shit on the entire DOJ by her actions in this case. |
Sources please on the line prosecutors. And, did you feel the same way about all the cases against Trump? |
No. The point is to stress, harass and impoverish people who do not toe the line. If YOU ever get indicted, OP, because you did your job and it turns out if was a pivotal one for this administration at some point in your career, you will not think it's fine if you are suddenly faced with defending yourself, your honor and your integrity. It costs MONEY, and TIME and a whole lot of your HEALTH. Trump's personal lawyers are paid $1k/hr. Prosecutors are not, but most of them have large teams to help them. What are YOU going to do? This is why when the Nation goes after the little people, or even the medium people, it'd better have an iron-clad case to make, otherwise it looks like prosecutorial overreach and political retribution (which it is). In the Comey indictment, the prosecution has precious little to go upon. The case stinks to high heaven. |
|
^ My point is, if Trump can do this to Comey, who was actually a net positive in his life, he can do it to anyone, including YOU. And you won't find it "due process" when he comes after YOU. |
Are you seriously so much of a commie that you are asking why federal prosecutors can't just prosecute people regardless of evidence because they get a jury trial? Are you aware of things like reputation, litigation costs, and losing your job after being arrested? Not all of us have crypto companies scamming enough MAGA to afford a defense in federal court. |
Did you already forget that Trump was in fact convicted in the case he wasn’t able to run out the clock in? Obviously they had a reasonable belief they could get a conviction because they did. And that was the case that all the MAGAs said was the most political. |
I don't understand why she would do something that could easily get her disbarred and wreck any hope of a legal career |
. Red herring. Reaffirming prior testimony under oath is actionable. |
Word. Play right into Trump's teeny tiny hand and accept this because you hate Comey, and see if it stops there. May as well be MAGA if you accept this because "karma." You then quite literally have no principles. |
