It’s predominantly because of Walmart. I think the stock market will be volatile but ok for a bit. Wall Street is betting on Trump making things better. It’s going to take it a bit to realize he may break things in a not-easily-reversible fashion before he does them any favors. At the same time, the broader economy is showing signs of weakness and Walmart issuing a weak forecast reflects that. I read a month ago that Wall Street was predicting a favorable earnings season and I am not sure it’s going to turn out that way. |
