This is the characteristic you are missing. Many many millions of voters are going to the polls to elect candidates that will begin the process of ridding us of your forced birther agenda. Women's reproductive rights will be returned. |
Nobody wants any woman to give birth if she doesn’t want to do so. Many people also do not want an innocent baby to be killed. Both mom and baby matter. |
Despite Bans, Number of Abortions in the United States Increased in 2023 Updated on May 10, 2024 New findings from the Monthly Abortion Provision Study show that an estimated 1,037,000 abortions occurred in the formal health care system in 2023, the first full calendar year after the US Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization overturned Roe v. Wade. This represents a rate of 15.9 abortions per 1,000 women of reproductive age,* and is a 11% increase since 2020, the last year for which comprehensive estimates are available. It is also the highest number and rate measured in the United States in over a decade. This increase demonstrates that people continue to seek and obtain abortion care despite the drastic reduction in abortion access in many states. Since the Dobbs decision, in 2022. https://www.guttmacher.org/2024/03/despite-bans-number-abortions-united-states-increased-2023 How do you explain this? |
The idea that an abortion is murder is a minority and wrong view. If you believe it, then don't have an abortion. That is your right and it will be respected. When you try to force that view on others, you are going to face enormous resistance as you should. |
This is the hysterical and factually incorrect poster who also pretends that unborn babies are not alive and not human. Beware listening to the equivalent of antivax, flat earth, moon landing was filmed in a hwood sound studio abortion posters. |
It is easy to explain. Reproductive decisions belong to the women. Even trying to outlaw abortion will never change that fact. Our laws should reflect that reality. |
How do you define killing a healthy unborn baby? |
Nope, that's not me. |
I favor the protections of roe. I don't believe that a fetus is equivalent to a baby. |
If you believe an embryo is alive and can sustain itself on its own, you have WAY bigger issues than this thread. Here is the Born alive law from Congress (Republican backed) and the definition of alive: respect to a member of the species homo sapiens, means the complete expulsion or extraction from his or her mother of that member, at any stage of development, who after such expulsion or extraction breathes or has a beating heart, pulsation of the umbilical cord, or definite movement of voluntary muscles, regardless of whether the umbilical cord has been cut, and regardless of whether the expulsion or extraction occurs as a result of natural or induced labor, cesarean section, or induced abortion No 10 week old embryo has a heart, much less a beating heart and if the umbilical cord isn’t connected to the mother, no oxygen. There aren’t voluntary muscles that the embryo is in charge of yet. The heart isn’t really formed until 17-18 weeks of gestation. AND Babies can’t pass air through their lungs (breathe air) until after 23ish weeks. Looks like multiple posters understand science and one poster is unable to process that. |
That doesn’t explain why abortion rates have gone higher despite people claiming reproductive rights have been taken away and abortions are harder or impossible to get for women. |
A fetus is an unborn baby who is developing in his or her mom’s womb like every person on earth did. |
Yes it does. The majority are medicated abortions. Do you want to have to carry a pregnancy give birth in this environment where the dangers of an already dangerous process are increased? Well neither to plenty of other women. But whatever the reasons, they belong to the woman making the decision. |
Again, you should make decisions for yourself based on your beliefs. |
Human embryos from the one-cell (zygote) stage forward show uniquely integrated, organismal behavior that is unlike the behavior of mere human cells. The zygote produces increasingly complex tissues, structures and organs that work together in a coordinated way. Importantly, the cells, tissues and organs produced during development do not somehow “generate” the embryo (as if there were some unseen, mysterious “manufacturer” directing this process), they are produced by the embryo as it directs its own development to more mature stages of human life. This organized, coordinated behavior of the embryo is the defining characteristic of a human organism. |
