I am not a liberal, but I agree with you. We can all meet in a safe-space in the middle by supporting civil rights for all.

Civil rights for all, including equality.

“Equity” is a flawed notion, however.

You cannot have equality without equity. Just can't.

This was all about how dare a black woman hold such a high office and not support Israel unconditionally, this was not about anything else. End of story.

PP here. As I said, EVERYONE. Have at it!

Certainly. But only the black women face any consequences. The white guy keeps his position of power.

The Penn president had to resign and she is white. She apparently is not a serial plagiarist and mediocre academic, nor did she make herself out to be the victim. The sooner Harvard sees the last of Gay, the better for them.

And you can’t have quality institutions without merit trumping “DEI.”

Not at all. Magill was forced out for her position on Israel. She is white (but not an alleged plagarist.) One could argue that Gay was able to hang on for as long as she did because of her race.

Why do you assume that "DEI" candidates don't also possess "merit"? They can possess both. Sometimes a DEI candidate may lack "merit" but may be hired/advanced for other, usually political reasons (e.g., Gay and SC Justice Thomas). But that doesn't mean that's always the case.

Saying "end of story" doesn't make you right.

It ended up exposing deep-seated Jew hatred in America and how most everyone was pretty ok with Jewish students being harassed.

This.

I truly believe that folks will win the battle with this, but lose the war.

If you believe that I have a very diverse and equitable bridge with a totally not-problemmatic legacy to sell you.

How did people become such brainwashed zombies?

Jewish students weren't harassed. It is the Zionist lobby trying to silence any opposition to Israeli genocide and apartheid of Palestinians by centering how wealthy white Ivy League college kids feel. It plays on the inherent racism in the US by trying to make the victims white kids living in affluent suburbs of Boston.

This. It only confirms who calls the shots. Particularly when Gay is replaced with a wealthy, white Israel supporter. I mean, they didn't even try to hide it.

Nah, DEI is on the way out. Sorry sis.
