The Diplomat

Season 2 is amazing. I got chills in two episodes.

I needed a refresher too, so I watched the trailers for seasons 1-2, and watched the last episode from season 1. Then, I felt caught up.

Homeland is good but it’s not the Americans. I don’t think anyone is claiming The Diplomat is in that league. But a lot of us do find it entertaining and particularly enjoy the actors.

I think it's hard to maintain such a high level of interest beyond 2 seasons. The shock and awe is gone and it gets repetitive. Nothing wrong with that.

I loved the ending!!

I would vote for Allison Janney for any job.

Stuart was insufferable . Can't do another season with his "let's get back together" monologues.

I was so thrilled to see her! I absolutely love her.

Season 2 was fun but a little silly. She seems incompetent in her job and keeps making bad calls. Buy some hair gel and get a clue!

Tactics appeal to me more than gratuitous violence.

$14 for season 2 (6 episodes) and a season 1 rewatch (8 eps). Sure.

I definitely agree. That is less than a movie nowadays, and this will entertain you for more time .

This is intentional ... I'm assuming you are behind a bit?

Huh? Plenty of government employees look like her. It would be weird if she was dolled up. It would distract from her background and persona. I don’t get why people are outraged by her appearance.

Men may be used to their television delivering eye candy to their living room.

Professional women see her as a colleague, and aren’t rating her “coiffure.”

Just google for a season 1 recap. I did that (after not being able to remember anything about season 1) and had surprisingly little trouble keeping up. The recap I read did warn that season 2 started right off where the previous season left off, without deliberate reminders to the audience embedded into it. I watched the season 1 recap video provided by Netflix and found it unhelpful. That's why I searched for a written recap.

Yes. I loved it. Better than season 1 and more so with each episode.

I love her in every single thing she does, and she has such range.

I like her too, but always think of her as the voice of Kaiser Permanente and the "thrive" commercials.

It got too slow for me as well. I gave up.
