You’d have no way of knowing. Even if they have a flip phone or something, there’s a desktop Instagram website. |
Why would you want “a lifetime of control” over your child? That’s pathetic! Do you not want them to become their own independent person? By the time they’re admitted to college, most of them are 18 and no longer minors. Forbidding them from posting about college decisions on social media seems pretty unrealistic. |
hamilton college, no one’s heard of. the rest are mid tier |
Oh I saw the page. But you clearly don’t know what snarky racism sounds like when you’re doing it. Besides the Instagram page, I was referring to the reported list of acceptances. You just have to read a little further back in this thread. That list of schools includes Harvard, Princeton, Columbia, Howard, University of Pennsylvania, Georgetown, Stanford, University of Michigan, University of Virginia, Morehouse, Hamilton, Dartmouth, Georgia Tech, Bates, Spellman, Boston College, Tulane. |
There are almost 3,000 four-year colleges and universities in the US. Georgetown (ranked #22) and UVA (#25) are not mid-tier. You don’t seem to have a firm grasp on math. I’m sure that’s because you attended a low-tier college (or no college at all). |
To your point, I heard Princeton, Harvard, Georgetown, Stanford, Tulane, Penn, Michigan, and Dartmouth are all pretty good. |
| Can someone share the Stone Ridge link? |
PPs reference to Hamilton College stands. LACs are mostly irrelevant and unknown |
|
And so are you |
and you! as is hamilton college |
You sound weak. |
No way of knowing what is on a public instagram account? Dear lord. |
Wow, Field's matriculation list looks better than Burke's. They are typically compared, with Burke getting the nod on academics, however this list might argue differently. |
My kid went to Field and I was actually astonished by the college acceptances in her class. The academics in no way reflect the schools these kids get into. I’m not sure how they do it. |
