No, all the people who claim an $800k+ HI tend to boast about either having a 14 year old Honda Civic, or claim to have no car at all. They’ll tell you luxury cars are for strivers. |
Tell us what you and dh think first. |
Any huge white SUVs. Trashy. |
|
It depends on where you are in the US. In CA, everyone has white cars, small or large. I love our huge white SUVs as we do a lot of road trips up and down the coast, Yosemite, Tahoe.
I absolutely hate the Tesla Cybertruck but there are a lot of techies that love them here. The criminals seem to drive BMWs, no idea why. Muscle cars, think old Camaros, mustangs etc that have been altered are pretty common with the drag racing, sideshow houligans. There are a good amount of Ferrari, Lamborghini, and others that my son recognizes that I don’t but cost 200 K. Classic cars from the 60s and 50s are a big thing. I never saw any of these in the DMV. Subarus are not popular. DH wants to get a Subaru as a third car for the kids. They are horrified. |
| I wanted a mini cooper until a guy everyone at work dislikes got one and they started calling him "Mr Magoo." Lol. Very cringe. |
What’s your age - 89? |
| Any car with a wing. WTF - cars have wings? |
NP I don’t know how many times someone driving an oversized truck or SUV has been unable to keep it in their lane and come over into mine, at which point it becomes my business. If you can’t stay in your lane in an oversized car, then you either need to practice driving your car or get a smaller one. |
Tell us you don’t understand science without telling us. Want a moron.
|
If you understood science you’d know they’re totally unnecessary and very cringey. |
“Cringey” is a scientific term now. Priceless. |
I know two different owners of early 2000’s Audi TT’s whose cars left the roadway at higher speeds because they became airborne due to lack of downforce on the back of the car. The low pressure zone immediately above the rear of the car created enough lift to suck the rear end of the car right off the pavement. The same way an airplane wing generates lift. The shape of the car does the same thing. Are they necessary on all cars? No. They’re probably not even critically necessary on most of the cars that have them, as long as speeds are kept below 80ish mph and/or cornering forces are kept at less than .5g for speeds greater than 25-30 mph. Beyond that threshold, the pounds of downforce generated by a spoiler can help the rear tires stay planted and in contact with the road when they otherwise may have lifted or unloaded the suspension. I realize you don’t understand any of the dynamics of performance driving, so it’s hard to dumb it down enough for you to get it, but aerodynamics are a real thing, and you’ll simply have to take the word of someone smarter than you. |
Bullshit. |
Huge black SUVs are trashy too |
