I thought the utopian town was perfect to create that balance. I'm surprised they didn't stay longer. But then that would have been boring and off track.

I was surprised that Joel wanted and asked Tommy to go without him. I get that Joel doesn't want to get attached, but this is your brother who now has a good life and a baby on the way.

In the game, Tommy was a firefly and still had contact with them. That's the main reason Joel wanted Tommy to take Ellie.

This would have made a lot more sense.

I agree, so incredibly boring. I never played the game so maybe that’s why I’m finding the plot getting more and more dull. I really liked the main character actress in Game of Thrones but she just comes across as irritatingly snarky and not in a cute way. My SO thinks each episode just introduces new characters who are ultimately going to die by the end of the episode. I think my favorite character so far are the native couple in the cabin. So people who were on-screen for ten minutes. I’ll probably keep watching because I’m committed but I was so bored watching the most recent episode.

She is a very annoying character.

Her mom died at childbirth and her dad is unknown.

It was lovely seeing Elaine Miles and Graham Greene again. They had terrific chemistry!

The game is not action packed either, you sneak past most of the bloaters anyway and bullets were very scarce in game, the point is to create anxious /survival experience and internalize some of the decision Joel makes. TV medium cannot replicate this experience so they dive into the backstory of loss for us to sympathize with the characters.

Why are the bad guys soooo dumb? Like two grown ass men cannot handle a 13 year old girl, and she easily murders them both? Get outta here.

Easiest way of all time to kill Ellie when the room was on fire woulda been to walk out and lock the door and let her burn. Of course he gets stabbed, loses his own giant meat cleaver, and Ellie kills him with it. So dumb.

A lot of the people in this last episode were stupid, which is why they were blindly following a Math teacher who told them what to do. He recruited the dumbest possible, which is why he totally couldn't handle Ellie who is brilliant

In the WD it took five seasons to get to the cannibals. Just saying.

Also, how do batteries work 20 years later?

True. Easy for a male fool, anyway.

Was Ellie supposed to give penicillin shot right into the injury spot?

It's going to get to the site it needs to get to faster, than if she stuck it in his arm - either way, its in his system, right?
