And so does rhino virus, flu, strep, and actual allergies. |
For every person that knows they were exposed, likely 5 others were exposed. Why not have all healthy American test every morning before they leave their house! Just like they brush their teeth in the morning! |
That's funny. The funnier part is I'm the one who predicted that covid wasn't over in 2020, 21, that variants would appear, covid would spike in winter, etc. I'm also the one who posted the daily counts in January. So if I am "making analysis up", I think I have a better track record than anyone at MCPS or on this website?
|
Given people are home testing and not reporting it we will never know true daily count. My doctor was really annoyed at me for not going in for a pcr so they could track it when I saw her later on but I had called and emailed the office to talk to her and they refused a phone appointment and told me to go to the ER. If MCPS doesn't do weekly testing, they will not really know except for self report. Its going to be a hot mess and if not, that's because it cycled through a lot of us this summer. |
That's a great idea, only most people aren't decent people and would be willing. |
You don't suddenly develop allergies or asthma. However having both, I can tell you covid is very different. |
DP, but I hope you realize that this attitude is a big part of why so many reasonable people are done with covid restrictions. You pushed too hard, for too long. You made a health issue into a moral issue. No more. |
Health and spreading this is a moral issue. We get it. Just stop complaining about your kids having mental health and other issues, as why should we care about it when you don't care to fix the problems in your home and personality that are creating them. |
Yep, the only "decent people" are the ones who make Covid the center of their lives. I always come away from this board even more resolute in my decision to never mask me or my kids again... |
Right, because people with health issues and other needs that covid can seriously impact don't matter. The only thing important is your needs are met. I feel sad for your kids. You cannot set a good example for them. |
Okay, feel sad for them. I'll be out with the unmasked majority all weekend in the mean time... |
Set a good example = have them live in fear of a cold. |
Mostly agree. My allergies in the spring are much worse than my covid infection. Though, it was awfully close to my more mild allergies in the summer. I definitely wouldn’t have even thought to test if my kids hadn’t recently tested positive from covid (asymptomatic, but they needed tests due to exposures). |
Agreed! |
I really can’t tell what these people are hoping to achieve with masking, quarantines, and other restrictive policies. I don’t think they’ve been able to come to terms with the fact that covid is never going away. |
