What's your most controversial food opinion?

Some people can’t handle Cilantro maybe that’s why you don’t like Chipotle.

Most pizza tastes the same regardless of where it’s from or even whether frozen or not.

While I can’t tell good wine from bad wine, or good coffee from bad, I can definitely tell the difference between pizza types and quality. And frozen pizza does not compare.

THIS!! If you want tofu, eat tofu, not tofu masquerading as meat. None of this ‘Good As Ground’ BS

TRUE! All those artisanal grilled cheeses - greasy greasy when those 3 hard cheeses melt. And I love fancy cheese, always have multiple kinds in the fridge, a d cook with it regularly. It just doesn’t belong in grilled cheese with few exceptions

Congratulations on having one of the only actually controversial food opinions in this whole thread.

My DH feels the same way about peanut butter in sweets, the total loon ! I, OTOH, mmmmmmmmm -- Reese's are my favorite candy, and Jeni's salted peanut butter with chocolate flecks is my favorite ice cream flavor.

Of course it is. Why wouldn't it be?

Controversial because I’ll bet 99% of DCUM readers never go that low.

Maybe add some relish to that (either sweet/dill or a mix) and make is a Russian dressing. My DH acts like I made him a gourmet meal when I make that.

Also had fries with peanut sauce at the Falafel place in DC and that was good.

Maybe also curry yogurt-mayo.

Yes, even pico and other salsas with raw onions.

I make amazing pico without the onions that everyone always raves about and requests I bring when we do BBQs.

Please post the recipe on a new thread. I also hate raw onions.

+1. I hate raw onions. Do you just do pico with the onions omitted or do you do something else?

French Fries and hollandaise is the all time win.

Basic 12 month aged Vermont white cheddar cheese (ex. Cabot for $6 per 8oz) is 100x better than American "cheese" product. A slice of fresh tomato and honey mustard makes it ever better. Grilled cheese with American is pointless.

I agree with this. When you drink your fruit, rather than eating it, you lose the most nutricious parts. It's like drinking sugar water. Perhaps better than Coca Cola with all the chemicals, but not by much.

Yep. People are in denial because they are literally addicted to the morning sugar rush it provides and has provided them for decades of their life.
